Happy New Year Everyone! We are going into our 5th season in Red River Gorge. Every year we try to focus on growth. We have some exciting things happening in 2025! From new menu items to great music at the Pit House and a few other things you’ll have to watch out for!

We are so thankful for each of our customers throughout the years. Without you, TBC would not be possible.

Also, to our staff. Yall are the real superstars. We appreciate you that have stuck with us throughout the years and to the new ones coming in strong!

Back in 2015, a good friend of mine by the name of Shawn Cole, helped me design and create this logo for my solo music career. It was at this time that I had decided to really try and put myself and my art out into the world. To make the effort to do what I had wanted to do my entire life at a much more professional level. Up until then, I had been in cover bands and a couple original bands playing locally but that was about the extent of it. Since then I have played venues and festivals in several states that I otherwise hadn’t felt possible before this journey. None of this would have been possible if I hadn’t been fortunate enough to surround myself with amazing musicians that brought my songs to life. Many of whom have become great friends and that have inspired me and taught me more than I can ever repay.

Over the last several years, I have grown and matured as a person and an artist. I’ve learned a lot about myself and about music and the business. I’ve learned that it takes an enormous amount of time and dedication, especially as a solo artist. You have to be a jack of all trades and spread yourself paper thin between daily life and the duties of the business. I’ve also learned that I am at my happiest when I’m on stage with my friends playing loud rock and roll. It’s who I am and what I love. At this point in my life, I’ve come to realize that I no longer have the energy or the desire to be a solo artist. I just want to play music with my friends in a band. I want my musical journey to be more about the conversation my friends and I are having on stage together and less about me.

This Saturday at The Pit House is our last show of the year and will be the last show as Sean Whiting and The Big Badness. Going forward we will simply be The Big Badness. Love y’all. Long time. Hope to see you soon. ✌🏻
