It is with profound sadness that the Patton family share the news of the passing of Thomas Oliver Patton and his loving wife of 49 years, Gwen Findorff Patton on Monday July 22, 2024, from natural causes.

Ever the gentleman, Tommy left this earth shortly before his bride, to make sure he was there to es**rt her to their eternal rest.

Tommy was the middle child in the Patton family; he is survived by his two older sisters Gail & Patricia, and his two younger brothers, Timothy & Terry. Tommy graduated from Chalmette High School in 1968 and served his country valiantly in the Vietnam War. When he returned, he married his soulmate, Gwen, on May 24, 1975, and started their family shortly after.

Tommy and Gwen were the proud parents to Clint (Janet) and Chantelle (Tony), and they were overjoyed to become grandparents to Shaye and Harley Patton.

Tommy was instrumental in building Patton’s Caterers into what it is today when he joined his parents, Oliver and Shirley, alongside his siblings, in the growing business. Tommy’s contributions were in all matters related to logistics, which were challenging and unique on every catering job. No matter the challenges, Tommy always overcame them with creative and sometimes “outside the box” solutions and helped establish Patton’s well-earned reputation. Tommy’s dedicated, tenacious work was foundational in the longevity that Patton’s has enjoyed all these years.

We'll be taking a short break from our Sunday Brunches through the month of April - we'll be out at the French Quarter Fest (4/11-4/14), the Zurich Classic of New Orleans (4/22-4/28), and the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival (4/25-4/28 and again 5/2-5/5).

Our next Sunday Brunch will be our Mother's Day Brunch on May 12th - this one fills up FAST and reservations are required so don't wait!
