For the November installment of "The Lifeblood of our Longevity" - a series marking our thirty years in business by highlighting key staff members - we feature Sylvia Evans, who has been on our team since 2021.

Born and raised in Smithville, Sylvia is daughter to Executive Chef Jason Evans and granddaughter to Guest Attendant Dorothy Knipfer, making her a third generation participant in the Evins Mill project. Sylvia will attend the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga next Fall and will be missed by fellow staff members and guests alike!

For the October installment of "The Lifeblood of our Longevity" - a series marking our thirty years in business by highlighting key staff members - we feature Edgar Martinez, who has been on our team since 2020.

Edgar came to Evins Mill via his sister Laiza. Like his big sister, Edgar came to Smithville in the 1990s. Edgar is one of our star housekeepers and outside of work enjoys drawing and board games. As far as what he enjoys about his job, probably the same thing that a lot of guests like about Evins Mill – "the calmness of the woods."
