My name is Desiree May, Founder of Leave It to May Events! Event Planning has been a passion of mine for about 8 years now. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communications with a concentration in Public Relations from Delaware State University (Hornet Nation!) in May of 2012. To further my education and knowledge, I recently received my certification in Wedding and Event Planning from Del T
ech in November of 2016. I have worked for the state for the past few years and gained direct experience in the wedding and event field, working everyday with clients on their details, logistics, timeline, securing vendors and much more. Sneak Peek 🦋💕✨ Because this angle has me in a chokehold! So many vendors to tag and thank but I will start with the ones featured in this photo! Kaylani's Enchanted Garden was one of the most beautiful baby showers I have ever seen.... not just saying it because it's mine 🥰.... but truly! Kaylani is so loved and supported. And over the weekend I truly truly learned how loved and supported I am as an individual and as a planner in the event industry! I am truly blessed and can't thank everyone enough!
All the vendors who sponsored rentals, supplies, desserts, inventory, their time.... I am just at a loss for words and have extreme gratitude. Watching my vision go from sketch, to canva, to vendors ears to reality is an amazing feeling!
Everyday I will be shouting out a vendor in my story who played a major role in in the overall production of my baby shower 🪻 Stay tuned! 🧚🏼✨(Professional photos will be in a couple weeks)

Cheers to an incredible 7 years since I launched Leave It To May Events 💕🥂 The best decision I ever made was to take a leap and follow my passion. I can't wait to see how far things develop and grow in the next few years 🙌🏾 Thank you to everyone who has supported me and trusted my business with your special moments 💪🏾
I've come such a long way and I'm proud of the brave 27 year old that took a chance and put in blood sweat and tears into perfecting her craft! Before I had any clients I became certified in wedding and event planning and then got my wedding and event design certification from I_WED in Philly! I built my website on my own, started promoting my brand and really put myself out there. My first event I charged $500 and used it as an opportunity to build my inventory. As time progressed I started making connections with vendors, showcasing my talents and the rest is history!
Countless events, weddings, gatherings, dinners, baby showers, bridal showers, birthdays and corporate events later.... I am proud to continue to take this business to new heights.
