**HELP! Volunteers Needed!**

Would you like to earn a free race entry to the SRC Running Event of your choice? We are in desperate need of volunteers both next Friday and Saturday for Ragnar Relay. These are super fun to volunteer at. Anyone who volunteers for SRC at Ragnar will get a free entry to the event of their choice. Below are the location, times and days we need folks. Supporting Local Athletes, One Step at a Time

We’re proud to announce that, for the fourth year in a row, the Snohomish River Run will partner with the Snohomish High School and Glacier Peak High School Swim & Dive Programs as two of our featured nonprofit partners.

These incredible student-athletes and their families show up for our event in a big way—providing over 60 volunteers each year to help bring race day to life. Their energy, dedication, and community spirit are a huge part of what makes the Snohomish River Run so special.

Now, we have a chance to give back.

When you register using the code SHSSWIMDIVE or GPSWIMDIVE, you’ll receive 10% off your race entry—and $10 will be donated directly to the selected school’s booster club to help support their teams.

Code gets you 15% off all SRC Running Events

Melissa’s running journey began in junior high and high school with cross country and track. As life got busier, running became her go-to workout—requiring just shoes and the open road. As a mom, she kept running with a jogging stroller, alongside her kids on bikes, and eventually with them by her side.

During COVID, Melissa challenged herself to run daily for a year, logging over 1,200 miles. Since then, she’s pushed even farther—reaching 1,644 miles in a single year. Her racing journey has spanned 19 states (and counting) and includes international races in Canada, New Zealand, Iceland, and Costa Rica.

To celebrate turning 50, she ran her first marathon, followed by a 50K ultra—pushing through even after a fall that required stitches. She thrives on challenge and has earned multiple age-group podium finishes, especially in technical trail races.

Melissa is passionate about building community through running. She organizes creative group runs, supports local businesses, and volunteers at races. For her, running is about adventure, mental health, and connection. She believes running is for everyone—any time, any place, any distance—and she’s always ready to encourage others to join in!

Join Snohomish Running Company on Sunday, March 8th for the very first Kirk-Wood Half Marathon – a unique point-to-point race that connects the heart of Kirkland to the charm of Woodinville.

Starting at Marina Park with stunning views of Lake Washington, runners will cruise along Lake Washington Blvd before joining the scenic Cross Kirkland Corridor Trail. From there, it’s a journey through neighborhoods and nature—from Totem Lake to the Sammamish River Trail, finishing strong at Wilmot Gateway Park.

🎉 At the finish, celebrate your accomplishment with a shiny finisher medal, hot cider, and Pop-Tarts—yes, really! Plus, the first 1,000 participants to register will get a full-zip hooded sweatshirt with their registration. Opt-out of the hoodie and save $10. (to be revealed this August!).

Chasing Boston? We’ve Got the Perfect Course for You.

With the recent announcement that the Boston Marathon will now apply time penalties to courses with too much net downhill, we’ve seen a big surge in interest for the Snohomish River Run Full Marathon—and for good reason.

This race now presents one of the best opportunities to qualify for the 2027 Boston Marathon. The course is incredibly flat with just a gentle net downhill, ideal for running your strongest race. Plus, race day conditions are typically perfect—starting around 45°F and rarely climbing above 55°F.

You’ll stay fueled and motivated with 12 fully stocked hydration stations and plenty of cheer zones to lift your spirits along the way.

Because parts of the course utilize beautiful out-and-back segments on the Centennial Trail and Lowell Riverfront Trail, we’re capping registration at 300 runners—and we’re already nearing 200!
