Ingredients:

For the Cake:

2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract

For the Caramel Sauce:

1 cup heavy cream
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1 teaspoon sea salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the Crunch Topping:

1 cup chopped pecans
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 teaspoon cinnamon

Directions:

Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13-inch baking pan.

Prepare the Cake Batter:
In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.

Bake the Cake:
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Allow the cake to cool completely in the pan on a wire rack.

Make the Caramel Sauce:
In a medium saucepan, combine the heavy cream, granulated sugar, and butter.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture comes to a boil.
Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes, continuing to stir.
Remove from heat and stir in the sea salt and vanilla extract.
Let the caramel sauce cool slightly before using.

Prepare the Crunch Topping:
In a medium bowl, mix together the chopped pecans, granulated sugar, melted butter, and cinnamon until well combined.

Assemble the Cake:
Pour the caramel sauce over the cooled cake, spreading it out evenly.
Sprinkle the crunch topping over the caramel sauce.

Serve:
Slice and serve the cake. Enjoy the luxurious combination of caramel and crunch in every bite!
