We’re thrilled to announce .ikerd as our new Event and Facilities Manager. Sarah has studied music since early youth starting with piano and then classical guitar, which she pursued in Performance (as well as composition and computer music) at the Eastman School of the University of Rochester. Sarah is the founder and creative director of Studio Shangri-La, a multimedia art, design, music and creativity studio and recently started a record label OCTAVES, releasing classical, electronic, pop/alternative and more. We are so excited to have her join our team. Please say hi if you see her at the spaces!

Another awesome No Stress Studio at Somerville Music Spaces with an incredible group of singers! (And this is only about half of the group - we only remembered to take our photo after a bunch had already left!) From Bellini to Strauss to Copland, there was a little something for everyone. Ever been curious about what it's like to pursue a singing career overseas? Join BSR on Saturday, Aug 3 over at Somerville Music Spaces for an exciting workshop with the amazing soprano and career coach, Martha Eason!

After nearly a decade working as a fest artist in Germany, Martha is coming to Boston to share her experience. Topics may include the following:

-How to get your foot in the door at European houses
-What to expect from a fest contract
-Differences between the scene in America vs. other countries
-Setting up an "audition tour"
-Travelling and living abroad
