New year, new wedding season and lots of new faces around here… thought it might be time to reintroduce myself so you know more about who you’re following & supporting 🫶🏼

Hi, I’m Maryssa. On the surface I’m the founder, lead planner & content creator of Seven Oh Seven Events. Underneath those titles I’m a wife, daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin, auntie, friend and female entrepreneur who loves her life and has a great passion for showing & celebrating love.

My family and friends mean everything to me. My parents taught me a lot about love, the hard parts and the magical parts. February 27th will be the 8 year mark of losing my dad unexpectedly. Going through that grief and loss has really put things into perspective and helped me hold my relationships a lot closer.

Throughout my job as a wedding planner I’ve been through many life milestones, I’ve also had the honor of being part of hundreds of other people’s milestones. I wake up each morning thankful for my career and clients who put their trust in me.

I am proud to have a team of dedicated women who serve and welcome everyone with open arms. Our company believes in the power of love, equality and inclusivity.

Seven Oh Seven Events logo is a hummingbird. The weeks after my dad passed away, a hummingbird visited me every day and still does, often. My dad was an entrepreneur for 25 years and taught me a lot about running a successful business. The hummingbird represents his spirit. I know he’s cheering me on and would be proud to see the life I have created.

Fun fact: this is my 16th wedding season! I’m still learning and growing each year and our company continues to expand which is so exciting, but one thing remains true… I adore this industry and I’m not going anywhere anytime soon.

You know what’s ✨not✨ very demure, very mindful, very considerate?

Jumping on wedding trends that do not actually reflect you or your partners personalities or personal design aesthetic.

We will never push trendy themes or popular styles on our clients in order to keep the overall wedding as authentic as possible.

Don’t get us wrong, we love a fun trendy design, however, we would rather incorporate that into a styled company photo shoot than have our clients do something out of their stylistic comfort zone.

Happy Father’s Day to all of the wonderful fathers out there.

I just wanted to take a moment to acknowledge and honor my late father, Allan Stovall, who inspired me to become an entrepreneur and always supported my dreams. He passed away unexpectedly in 2017 at the young age of 53. My dad showed me how to run a successful business as a professional and kind human. I miss him everyday.

Hug your dads tight today. ❤️
