❄️ This Year's Snow Maiden: Grace Berger! ❄️
"I began dancing with SCD at the age of three.
As a young child, my first performance in the Snow Maiden was as the Domovoi — or the House Spirit.
As I journey through the years, and with each performance, my artistic ability and passion to dance has grown.
Over the years, I have been an Icicle, a Snow Ball, Lel's Girlfriend, an Older Sister, the East Wind and the West Wind, and the Firebird.
This year, I am honored to be given the chance to bring the role of the Snow Maiden to life. I am excited to embody this character and to play a new role while also knowing that I have come full circle performing in The Snow Maiden.
My journey with SCD as a student is in its last chapters as this is my senior year at Sonoma Valley High School and my ambition is to go to college as a dance major, or if the opportunity arises, a pre-professional training program associated with a ballet company with the ultimate goal of a professional career in ballet."
Come see Grace at the Sebastiani Theatre at 1:00pm Saturday, December 13 and Sunday, December 14
❄️ La Doncella de la Nieve de Este Año: ¡Grace Berger! ❄️
“Comencé a bailar con SCD a los tres años.
De niña, mi primera presentación en La Doncella de la Nieve fue como el Domovoi — o el Espíritu de la Casa.
A lo largo de los años, y con cada presentación, mi habilidad artística y mi pasión por la danza han crecido.
Este año, tengo el honor de tener la oportunidad de dar vida al papel de la Doncella de la Nieve. Estoy emocionada de encarnar a este personaje y de interpretar un nuevo rol, sabiendo también que he cerrado un ciclo al presentarme nuevamente en La Doncella de la Nieve.
Este es mi último año en la preparatoria, y mi objetivo es ir a la universidad para estudiar danza, o si se presenta la oportunidad, entrar a un programa de formación preprofesional."
Ven a ver a Grace en el Teatro Sebastiani a la 1pm el 13 y 14 de diciembre.
