Flowers, fruit, and friends!

Summer flowers are coming in clutch! Looking forward to the last stretch of the season with y’all!

Man! What a gorgeous day y’all! Prepping the soil for the third dahlia field, then transplanting amaranth, cosmos, and zinnias tiered along the perimeter then the dahlias will all go in the center. It’s gonna look so good! 🌸🌿💚 All I added was compost and worm castings to the soil. I’ll add some bunny 💩 and when the dahlias arrive in the next couple of days they will be ready to go into the ground! No chemical, nothing crazy. I’ve spent a lot of time building up the health of the soil, so their are lots of microorganisms, fungi, worms, and insects happily living in the mulch already. Dahlias are heavy feeders that’s why I added the extra amendments. The zinnias, amaranthus, and cosmos don’t need a lot of nutrients to grow and thrive, so they need very little. It’s so important to have a close and intimate relationship with your soil and plants. Just like people, all plants need different things to thrive and live their best lives. When a flower doesn’t bloom, you change the environment not the plant. (Remember that about your own life too 💚🙏🏾) when you spend time and get to know the soil and plants you will notice when something becomes unbalanced and can correct it immediately! The Earth always speaks to those who are willing to listen. 🌞🌸🙏🏾💚🌿💪🏽

Delivery Reschedule

She’s on the road! And she’s bringing the vibe! 🌈 Omg I forgot how much fun it is to drive a stick! It’s coming back to me haha it had been over 10 years since I’ve driven one 😂 I love it so much!

Good morning beautiful people! Happy Monday! Let’s talk about edible flowers this morning! Why use them? And how do you use them? I have a plethora of different edible flowers blooming right now, and they are such a fun way to spice up your cuisine. (Sometimes literally) These pretties are called Nasturtiums and this particular variety is Nasturtium Alaskan Jewels-Mixed and I got the seeds from my go to @johnnys_seeds Both the flowers and leaves are edible and have a bit of a spicy flavor to them reminiscent of a radish with a sweet floral twist! They are perfect to add to salads, top sandwiches, pasta, and seafood dishes, make your drinks extra fancy, spice up your avocado toast, and a million other delicious ways to eat them. And seriously, flowers on top of your food? Um, yeah! Everyday is a fabulous day! ✨ AND, both the leaves and petals of the nasturtium plant are packed with nutrition, containing high levels of vitamin C. It has the ability to improve the immune system, tackling sore throats, coughs, and colds, as well as bacterial and fungal infections. Beautiful and powerful!
