We had a rootin’ tootin’ time at Dunesville Music Festival 🪕🥁🌾ProLux provided lighting for both the Main & Shaker stages!

It’s wonderful to see all of the happy people & friendly faces here year-after-year. And a great switch up musically! I LD so many EDM events, hearing bluegrass all weekend was a beautiful atmosphere.

If you haven’t been I highly recommend making the trip next year!! Thank you Brenna for having me out and all of the organizers who help put this event together💛

This is not your average Amazon kit😂 This is a fully customizable LED visual system running 1080p HD content. Like a giant TV made from LED strips!

We spend time planning every detail for our clients & customers; down to the exact number of pixels in each run. For this specific job, we even built this venue in 3D! To show our client exactly how the final product will look - Check out our other posts to see the 3D model!

We are over 60% done with the inside, and will soon move on to the outside part! Yes they’re even putting LEDs around the perimeter of their building haha

I am so excited to see this baby come to life!! And counting down the days until we flip the switch on forever!

Movement Afterparties🔥⚡️
We were honored to set up production for the Tunnel Stage at Anthology Detroit 2024 this past weekend!! The place was hot, packed, rocking and on a Monday night we raged until 7am ⛓️

A huge shout out to Dirty Epic for having us be apart of these legendary events, for seeing my vision, and letting me go wild experimenting with new ideas
This felt truly underground cyberpunk but we were 3 stories high

I set up traditional DMX fixtures last year, but with the layout of this room can be tricky to design for: low ceilings, long room but not very wide. And there’s not much space for trussing builds with the crowd going wall to wall! We tried corners last year but the ceiling is very low ha

So this year I proposed the ProLux Pixel Sticks and they loved the idea! Said deck out the ceiling… so we did 😎

The LED system you see is 100% custom-built by myself! Months of development, manifested an idea into reality. It’s all plug and play for me now! No wire cutting or soldering, all stage ready baby

Seeing these sticks in real life applications brings so much fulfillment inside! I’ve worked so long in the garage testing new ideas that work (and don’t work) lmao. Check out my other posts to see older versions and trial runs

Now time to build more so we can really transform these spaces

How’s it look so far?!
Take a minute to relax and enjoy this light show ✨

This week we’ve been able to lay the LED strips and begin mapping our matrix! Tomorrow we’ll finish the last section in Zone 1

To the left of this room is Zone 2 (different room dimensions). My crew began putting the aluminum channels up in that area today. They killed it today knocking half the room out!

Then they can help me lay some LEDs down to finish the inside of this building😎

After the inside is finished, we will move onto the outside. Can’t wait to see this baby wrapped up!

Well guys it’s been a fun ride 🎢
For the past 8 years we’ve lit up Detroit all the way to Northern Michigan! But there comes a time for every company to turn the page to the next chapter….

We’re stepping away from the lighting world, and jumping into AUDIO SYSTEMS 🔈

Were bringing a full rig of Mackie and Behringer 8’s (& 6’s) to Michigan!! We believe we have everything you need to make your event sound just okay! 👌🏼

Don’t worry about sound quality when we can bring 30 “subwoofers” and make dubstep sound even more distorted!!

Thank you all for the wonderful years🖤💛 And if you’ve made it this far I’m sure you’ll understand how much this means to us!! New Audio Team on the block 😎🔈

I’ve waited months to post pictures of our stage design! Obviously we had to keep it under wraps until post-festival

We’ve recently began our design process for Big Fam’s 3rd Year! So I figured we could release these photos of 2022 as we prepare for 2023🥳

This was not done by only myself, but a team of hardworking individuals who come together as a cohesive unit to accomplish these wild dreams

Wrap it in RGB 🟥🟩🟦

Turn the lights off, the LEDs on, and now we’re ready for the party! Proud to show our latest work at

This is over 100ft of LED Strip! Wrapping the walls, floor and booths in color changing light. These LEDs are Smart IC Pixels, capable of sound-react mode, motion patterns and custom mapping!

Yes! We could map this room in resolume/madrix, and make this stage dance as one unit. Currently we are using a Bluetooth controller with a mobile app allowing clients to control from their phone📲

So excited to see this project come to life, looks better than the renders😂

Fieldhouse Install (PART 1)

New year new look! Kicking off 2023 with this beautiful DJ booth renovation at

What started as a lighting programming call, quickly turned into a full remodel of their DJ/VIP booth area

“What if we moved the DJ booth to middle of the wall?” That’s where this job expanded beyond the lighting world

Moving the DJ booth to the middle, meant we had to build the stage deck more than double the depth it was originally at

We began designing our models & offered different layouts to the FH managers. Once the plans were approved we got to work!

Key Features of this Build:
🔸Tiered DJ/VIP Booths — VIP booth is raised 10” from the ground level, and the DJ booth is raised an additional 1’ from the VIP deck

🔸LED Underglow — Over 50’ of Smart IC LED strip wrapping the entire stage deck & seating areas. LEDs are controlled with a Bluetooth app & are fully waterproofed

🔸Hidden Subwoofers — FH asked to keep their current subs in the plans & not take up too much dance floor space. For this, we built the DJ riser custom to fit over the RCF speakers.

🔸 Premium Stage Decking — The surface of the deck is covered in a premium, slip-resistant, waterproof coating. This should stand the test of time for years to come!

Empty warehouse ➡️ flying high

We had the opportunity fly our rig in the Russel Industrial Center for Skull313 this past October!

For years we came to shows in this space and said “imagine setting up here” — we’ve finally worked our way through the venues of Detroit and able to achieve that dream ✅

This rig is about 1/3 of our inventory and can’t wait for the day we can come full tilt in this space

Laser Installation - Circle Event Center, Hamtramck, MI

Another week another happy client! We have been working with Circle Center over the past year to transform their new venue to a colorful oasis🌈🌴

Circle Center bought these 2W laser units, controlled only via DMX - this takes a bit of finesse in programming and takes A LOT of time to program properly! Lasers are tricky, as they cannot be directed anywhere near human eyesight

It was important to program these lasers to look full, and bright; while also maintaining safe laser zones.

What made this programming somewhat challenging is the 2nd story balcony overlooking the dancefloor. The laser CANNOT shoot past into the crowd - We terminated these lasers into the balcony with about 2-3 feet to expand patterns. It looks so good in person!
And we programmed a few looks to light up the crystal ball chandelier center piece 🪩

Now after a few days, the lasers color the sky over the dance floor! Providing a full RGB blanket of light above the guests here

🔸UPGRADE DAY!!🔸
Beyond excited to bring in new fixtures to the ProLux arsenal 🚨

In the boxes are 2 different types of RGB Strobes & a brand new Wireless DMX kit

We doubled up with 8 new Single Zone RGB strobes, making a total of 16 units. These little guys have been a favorite amongst artists and promoters, 8 wasn’t enough we needed 8 more 😛 Bright colors, cool fade patterns, we definitely are satisfied with these units

And now introducing a brand new 4-Zone RGB fixture! These units have more LEDs on the face with a larger housing, and more control. They feature 4-Zones of RGB control - allowing us to creating cool cascading effects inside of the fixture themselves!

Both fixtures provide a bright wash that punches through professional beams to add dazzling eye candy on stage

It’s like Christmas in August, but technically this is work 😂 I cannot wait to hang these guys on truss and start programming 🔥

It’s been one hell of a summer!☀️🌊
Whew and we’re only halfway through the madness 🥵🥳

Being home this week feels like a vacation haha. The past 3 weeks I’ve lived out of the same suitcase, with just enough time to wash, repack & head on to the next 🚗🛣

Thank you to all of our clients & partners for the opportunity to do what we love day to day! This truly is a blessing & I love you from the bottom of my heart ♥️

3 weeks on the road, 1 week home, then back to another 2 roadies😎
Thankful for this time with my dog and my bed haha

Detroit I’m home!! I’ll see you at Tangent Gallery both days this weekend 🌃 And you know what’s coming start of September😏🌲
