“REEL TALK” is a subscription film series similar to that of the NEW YORK TIMES FILM CLUB and comprised of eight original, often ground-breaking and highly anticipated feature films of the season. The towns of South Orange/Maplewood are largely diversified, well-educated and appreciative of film and the craft of filmmaking. Films of all stripes tend to find a sizable audience in the community, particularly those of a more specialized nature. Having the opportunity to attend an upcoming film weeks in advance of its commercial release date and participate in a Q&A/discussion with a VIP would engage the audience in a profound manner, becoming tastemakers and stimulating word of mouth about the film, theater, community.
