Meet the Chefs…
His Story:
Deeply rooted in a family that has the true soul of creoles, Nicholas skillfully masters the preparation of delicacies, such as a pork stew found to be a unique dish in southern Louisiana. Inspired by his elders, who he often saw cook pork dishes outdoors in large black pots. Nicholas started cooking Creole dishes during his teenage years. With his warm southern hospitality and a thick Creole accent, Nicholas enjoys outdoor cooking whether he is simply broiling tasty seafood on a warm summer day, frying a spicy turkey during the winter holidays, or barbecuing fine pieces of meat to share at a family gathering. Her Story:
Passing on her family’s spicy gumbos and rice dishes, Sharon whose great-grandmother is a direct descendent of a Native American tribe from the deep by-waters of Houma, Louisiana, was reared by family members who demonstrated the finest culinary skills in southern Louisiana. Her great-grandmother brought the “flavors of spices” with her from Houma and integrated it into her dishes during southern plantation life in Vacherie. Learning important lessons, like, never cooking your food over a fast flame, Sharon prepared her first dish of Louisiana’s famous red beans and rice at an early age. Since watching with delight their families and friends enjoy the remarkable taste of their cuisine, especially their pork stews and potato salads, Nicholas and Sharon knew that they could bring this same delight to others. Presenting, with their heart and soul, the finest Creole dishes in southern Louisiana, Nicholas and Sharon are ready to serve up a delicate dish fitting for your soul.
