We are sharing the saddest update - of a passing of our beloved Founder and Artistic Director, and long-standing SCC board member, Liliane Questel

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Liliane Questel on March 18, 2024.

Liliane was an active member of the SCC Board of Directors since joining in 2000. In 2002, she founded the Rising Stars Piano Series, dedicated to providing a venue for young, talented pianists. Her dedication and passion for the series and its pianists were legendary, and her passing will leave a big void.

Liliane was an acclaimed pianist with an international career. She was also a great friend, and the parties she and her husband, Dr. Arthur Canario, hosted were fabulous and one of the highlights of our summers.

The SCC is committed to keeping Liliane’s memory and the series alive; it has been and will continue to be a fabric of our organization.
