I set up my first picnic today for a paying client & they really went all out in decorating the house for me. 😜

Oh & I say set up… because I’ve yet to clean it up & I’m currently •LAYING IN MY TRUNK• in a random parking lot… because I’m so exhausted. 😅😅😅 ((also they’re still out on the beach enjoying it😊))

I quickly realized how heavy my tables were, how far the beach was from the car… and the 1,479 stairs to get over the dunes. 🙃

I looked in the mirror after & actually had a 6 pack. Instantly! That’s the trick kids.

ANYWAY, the guests were so excited, the house was gorgeous & I can’t wait to do it again. 🖤

Thank you for inviting me to collaborate with you on this! Your food, charcuterie, wine & energy made the day! 🌿

A little bit of a deeper peak into my life… and part of my WHY for starting this business. 🤍

It’s been slightly over a month without alcohol & no, none of it has looked this pretty. 🌊

If you know me, you’ve probably had fun drinking with me before. 🥂

If you really know me, you’ve probably had a not so fun experience drinking with me before. 🍸🍸🍸🍸🍸🍸🍸

And if you’ve stayed around long enough, you’ve probably realized I can go quite a while continuing to drink.🫗

I’m learning there is no healthy addiction. I can’t replace this with becoming obsessed with the gym or addicted to healthy eating. (Trust me, I’ve always hoped for this.)

But the truth is, nothing in excess is healthy & we are humans, who are supposed to feel things & even typing that is hard because I’d like to pretend everything is allllwaaaayssssss happpyyyyyy no matter what. 🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃

Living without alcohol, or as my therapist would say, “my best friend” is hard, but being constantly dependent on something to numb my anxiety & build an allure of positivity & confidence, is harder. 👽

I am not committing to a lifetime of not drinking, but I’m in a better place today than I was yesterday & all I’m doing is testing out life through a different lens. 📸

And this lens, has not been a month of smiles & flowers but maybe one day it will be!!! 🤪🌸🤪🌸🤪🌸🤪🌸🤪

The colors, sizes & designs of each card, just inspires me and brings me so much joy! ✨

The pens, pencils, stamps & stickers I like to use to close the envelope, are all so magical to me. 📝

And then oh my goodness, actually sending or receiving letters to & from friends, is just one of my favorite things in the world. 📬

That being said, in any business, I always make a point to write hand written letters to my clients, vendors, friends, and hope that the simple message inside will bring a smile to their face. 😊

My first business meeting at a local coffee shop with a new friend I met through Facebook Marketplace was a success! 🥂

I’m looking forward to partnering with her on a few different ideas we came up with together. ✨

Fun Fact? She owns the cutest flat top beach bungalow & you’ll never guess how she ended up with it. 💌

She discovered the property years ago and wrote letters to the owner every so often, asking if they ever wanted to sell it, to please give her a call. ☎️

About a year ago, she received a call from the owners saying they wanted to sell & she was over the moon with excitement! 🌙

So she’s now living in her fairy tale dream home & I love the lesson behind it. “If you want something in life, don’t give up on it because even your wildest dreams can come true.” 🤍

Picnic season takes on holiday season, making every get together extra special. 🤍

Creativity thrives for me when unusual pieces are turned into the unexpected. ✨ I bought these old windows for $5 each from a local business man, cleaned them up & turned them into my picnic table for the evening. 🥂 My favorite parts of this job continue to grow each & everyday, so I’m going to share the highlights & things that make me excited to wake up in the morning & work on another picnic set up. Reason #1 - The people I’ve met through facebook market place (which is where I’ve collected some of my most recent inventory.) I’ve unexpectedly built relationships with some of those people, that have helped me become part of the community more. They have given me ideas for my business, introduced me to vendors they have personal relationships with & connected me with locals who can help me get the word out! 🤍 If you know me, you know I love people, so when I see someone excited about what I’m starting & wanting to help get the word out, it just fills me with joy!
