I was having an excellent time last night at Dennis Archer Jr.'s Detroit Vinyl Society when I was invited to check out the corporate offices upstairs where 15 (!) of my Frame Your Face portraits live. Humbled and grateful!

What an amazing evening at The Vinyl Society last night, honoring Lane Coleman on his election as Board Chair of the Detroit Institute of Arts, and Dr. Charles Boyd named as Co-Chair of The Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit (MOCAD) Board of Directors. Host Dennis Archer Jr. commissioned me to do portraits of the two honorees, and we presented them to them last night. It was more than humbling to be there with some amazing people, many from Detroit’s art community in general and Detroit’s African American arts community in particular.
