🎓 You’ve finished University once and floral!

Congratulations to all of Swansea’s Graduates this week 🥂

We create One-of-a-kind bouquets and bunches; they are the perfect way to show someone how proud you are of them. 💜💙

This week we’ve included the amazing ‘celosia’, which we call ‘brains’ for obvious reasons 😂

From our ‘grab and go’ bunches to boxed bouquets we have something to suit all budgets starting from £10.

Pop into the shop from 11am-3pm tomorrow (Saturday) or message to order. For larger bouquets we can arrange local delivery x

🌊 Nalu Charm Bracelets 🌊

We are very excited to be the only stockist for Nalu beads and jewellery in Wales! 🎉

Just like other charm bracelets, the surf and sand beads are representative of the places we love, and have a special meaning to ourselves; or the recipient of such a beautiful gift. 💜

🌊 Whether it’s a tribute to a beach, a memory, a person; each bead is designed to tell the personal story of its wearer 🌊

What would yours be?

Nicole’s is Langland for the many happy days spent there now, and as a child. The green represents the huts, it’s ‘her happy place’ 💚

Sarah’s is Caswell - one of her favourite beaches, but also the place where she grew up. A place where her lovely Nan used to go, and where many teenage evenings were spent hanging around ‘ledges’.

🌊 Ocean inspired jewellery for Ocean lovers 🩵

Our new collection of surf proof jewellery has arrived 💕. Create your perfect beach style with glass beads made using sand from Gower beaches, or choose a Surf bead from The Gower Collection.

🩵 We love the Three Cliffs bead 🩵

‘Three Cliffs Bay is one of the most beautiful beaches we’ve ever seen. This secluded sandy bay is backed by its three limestone peaks. Sand dunes and salt marshes meet together along the Pennard Pill stream that runs down the beach to the sea’.

Our Three Cliffs bead is made with transparent teal glass which is then wrapped with ivory glass before being decorated with turquoise and a silver ivory stringer for the headland cliffs. Ty e bead has then been tumbled to give it a sandy matt finish.

We can’t wait to share the news that we will soon be stocking Nalu bead jewellery at Twigs & Roses.

Nalu is the Hawaiian word for wave, but it also means to ponder, meditate or go with the flow.

Each Nalu bead has a story…inspired by surf spots, beaches and coastlines. Sometimes it’s the colours - the sky, the sea, the coastline - that characterise a break or beach. Sometimes it’s the feel or mood of a place.

At Twigs & Roses, we’re not all flowers. We have a lovely gift range in the front of the shop, including this range of serveware.

Hand made from mango wood on the exterior, with a decal enamel design, this range comes from a small family run company in India.

In this design we have large platters, bowls and salad servers. Pop in for a browse. Open today from 11am-3pm x 🌊

🌷 This week’s flowers 🌷

We’ve got some stunning flowers in this week. A lovely mix of pinks, lilacs and white; exotic curcuma in pink and white, allium siculum, together with one of my favourite thistles; the blue globe. 😊

Along with some of our regulars; the pink hypericum berries, memory lane roses, and lilac sea lavendar we create unique bouquets for special gifts.

We’re thrilled to be stocking Earthly Rebels products at Twigs & Roses in The Hub in Southgate.

It was lovely to meet Jay last week to learn about her soaps and face oil.

‘Earthly Rebels was dreamt up in the sand dunes of Llangennith Beach, inspired by the beautiful seascapes and surf culture of Gower. It's about thinking of skincare not just as a product, but also an exciting and enriching journey with nature, from seed to skin.’

The jury’s out at Twigs & Roses - which one is your favourite?

🌺 We can’t decide between these stunning bloooms, which is why we’ve decide to feature both of them in our ‘pre-ordered’ and ‘grab and go’ bouquets next week. 🌸

💕 We are also taking orders for single stems of peonies and allium, with single stems starting at £2 for allium and £3 for peonies 💕

📖 Last orders for single stems is Monday 20th May for Wednesday or Thursday collection; and Wednesday 22nd May, for Thursday or Friday collection.

From lavender grown locally in Gower; Rae hand makes her soaps, hand creams, and pillow sprays from her workshop down the road from our shop.

It was lovely to meet Rae today, and choose some of her best sellers for our shelves.

This week, one of us is enjoying a well deserved break in France while the other has been busy creating our gorgeous weekly bouquets including some our favourite roses, alliums, berries & stocks.

Perusing the flower markets in Nice (all in the name of research of course 🤣) has been a joy. However the sun is out in a Southgate today! Mimicking the colours of the aurora borealis in Southgate last night, come & see our stunning pink & lilac bouquets, starting from £12.
