Boston College’s 2024 Graduate English Colloquium is today from 4:15-8:00pm, with a reception following panels and the keynote. As one of the organizers, I’m moderating a panel on Irish Specters and Futures. There will be some really amazing scholarship also themed to gender and politics, and to top it off, a Keynote Address by Professor Claire Connolly from UCC, who is the 2023-24 Burns Scholar in Irish Studies at Boston College. If you’re nearby and interested, please join us at Connolly House. Information and schedule can be found through the link and the website’s menu also has more info under home.

Panel Presentations: Gender in Resistance & Objectification (James Masanek, Julia Adamo, & Mary McGrail), A Haunted Ireland, Irish Specters and Futures (Sara Pool, Shelby Jones, & Robert Baskin), Holding Up The Mirror: The Political Monster (James Murray and Lauren Crockett-Girard)
