At The Bright Side Play, we’re on your side with a space that both you and your child will love going to again and again. We understand being caught between a rock and a hard place: either bracing your senses and your kids’ immune systems for an indoor play outing... or staying at home and dealing with the mess and the pressure to entertain. Which is why we’ve designed a space that’s welcoming and engaging for kids and also peaceful and relaxing for parents. Kids will love our indoor playscape, interactive walls, imagination station, dress up kits, craft rooms, and a cozy library! Parents have a cafe lounge adjacent to the playscape where they can connect with other parents, check their email, or just take a breather. We specialize in worry-free birthday parties, with customizable options like adorable themes, crafts, and costumes. Our packages range from a basic party room rental with play time all the way up to the all-inclusive “just show up” package! Come see for yourself. The brain is the command center of the human body. 🧠 A newborn baby has all of the brain cells (neurons) they’ll have for the rest of their life, but it’s the connections between these cells that really make the brain work.

Different areas of the brain are responsible for different abilities, like movement, language and emotion, and develop at different rates. Brain development builds on itself, as connections eventually link with each other in more complex ways.

The early years are the best opportunity for a child’s brain to develop the connections they need to be healthy, capable, successful adults. The connections needed for many important, higher-level abilities like motivation, self-regulation, problem solving and communication are formed in these early years 👏🏼

Conversing with your little one is more important than unilaterally talking to them. Statistically, it gives them the opportunity to hear more words, it exposes them to the art of conversation, provides them with real time feedback, and teaches them to formulate meaningful responses.

When we started this journey, our goal was always to bring developmentally minded play opportunities to you and your little one. We are so excited to spend the summer with you and want to give you a few updates as it relates to our summer schedule.
⭐ We will be opening 30 minutes earlier than normal all summer, making our hours 9:00am-6:00pm Monday through Thursday, and 9:00am - 4:00pm on Fridays. Summer hours will begin May 27th
⭐ We will be open from 9:00am - 6:00pm on Memorial Day
⭐ We have opened up a window for Open Play on Sunday, May 26th from 1:30-5:30pm
⭐As the weather warms up and school lets out we strongly encourage pre-booking your open play to ensure you have a spot at your desired time!

Did you know just 20 minutes of intentional play each day ramps up your little one's cognitive growth, helps them work toward developmental milestones, and provides the perfect bonding opportunity? 🧠💞 In the whirlwind of daily life, it's these precious moments of connection that truly count – for their heart and their mind. This week, carve out some special time for you and your little and come explore our space that was designed with fun and growth in mind!

Ages 6 months to 2 years love our toddler soft playroom, sensory panels, and busy boards. Ages 2-4 love our pretend play, magnetic toys, and climbing. Ages 4-6 love the rock wall, monkey bars, Magnatiles and Clixos. The light board and wind tunnel are favorites for all ages (parents included)!!

You asked - we answered! This Saturday, April 6th, we've blocked two windows for Open Play for all our working parents and families who have weekday commitments! Join us from 9:30-11:00AM or 11:30-1:00PM for an hour and a half of fun! ⭐

- Tickets for Saturday's Open Play can be purchased using the "Book Open Play" button on our website. Be sure you scroll down and click the Saturday Open Play option, not the regular Open Play option.
- Both sessions will last 1.5 hours and have a hard stop to allow us time to reset the space between sessions and subsequent private parties.
- Members are welcome to attend, but you will need to purchase a ticket as your membership covers weekday open play.

Nurture your little one's curiosity with nature! 🌱 Register them for our hands-on Organic Herb Garden class where fun meets learning—sprinkle in some fine motor skill development, heaps of sensory play, and loads of giggles. It's all the fun, with none of the cleanup. 🌳⭐

The Plant Your Own: Organic Herb Garden Class will begin with a short lesson about herbs and how they grow and then it's time to get your hands dirty (literally!). 👐 You and your little one will work together to plant your own herb garden using organic seeds from Everwilde Farms and organic soil. We will wrap up class with a discussion about caring for your herbs and send you home with your pot and a chart for watering and looking after your garden! Include your little one in tending to your seeds and once they sprout, use them together in a meal or share them with a friend!

Independent play sessions are play opportunities for you and your child that take place all day on their scheduled date. Think of these are intentional learning opportunities that are loosely structured. We provide the supplies/materials, information, and tips - you just have to show up and have fun!

Guided classes are classes led by an instructor who manages the flow of the class, demonstrates and explains everything, and ensures you are equipped and empowered to assist your little in competing the activity at hand! Guided classes take place at a specific time on their scheduled date. Again, we provide the supplies/materials, information, and guidance - you just have to show up and have fun!

You've heard of play. You know how to play. Your toddler certainly knows how to play! But have you heard of parallel play? 😀

You may have noticed times when your toddler is playing next to, but not necessarily with, a peer. Doin' their own thing, but in the company of a sibling or new friend who is also doing their own thing.

This offers your child an opportunity to learn from and observe one of their fellows, without necessarily requiring them to engage just yet. It's basically a safe and fun way for them to develop socially!

The space, games, and programs at Bright Side Play, especially for our toddlers to elementary-aged children, offer a ton of opportunities to parallel play by fostering a social environment with a safety net.
