I can't believe this was 23 years ago - I'm saying an extra prayer for those who lost loved ones on this horrific day in our country and also praying for our country as it stands today.I can definitely remember where I was that day and hope I'm able to teach my children about what's right and wrong. Something we should remember everyday...

"Josh and I got married before Pinterest, The Knot, or even Instagram. We were completely winging it with our wedding. I had no idea what I wanted it to look like, but I knew I wanted to marry this man. We were in our early 20s and not financially stable. Our friends and family helped with every detail: the cake, food, decorations, and photography.On the day of our wedding, our photographer brought out a small digital and disposable camera. My heart sank when I saw those were her options. I reminded myself that she was doing this as a favor and not charging us. When we received the prints, I cried. We didn't have one decent photo of Josh and I. We had some cute ones of everyone at the reception, but none of the bride and groom.
We'd always wanted to go to Ireland. After being married, having our two boys, and becoming more financially stable, we decided to renew our wedding vows there. We wanted the boys to be part of the ceremony, so we waited until they were older. We also knew we wanted Kellie to come with us and take our photos.
This time around, I was going to do it right. Kellie and I found the most gorgeous sites in Ireland for our photos and ceremony. I can't even begin to express what it meant to Josh and I that Kellie and Joe drove all around Ireland just so I could finally have the photos every girl dreams of."
I'm not sure what I like better - Megan's stunning bridal look, ' stellar design dancing down the table or that warm Texas sunshine. It's all so, so beautiful.

Isn't this photo just beautiful? It's so easy to look at a photo and think how gorgeous it is but not realize all of the work that went into it.I first quickly scouted the area while the bride was getting out of the car and settled.
We figured out how to open the gate to make our way over to this gorgeous ruined wall.
I found a bush full of prickers in the spot I wanted the bride to stand so Joe knocked those over so they wouldn't be catching her dress.
There were little mounds of cow doo all over the place so we covered the closest ones with rocks.
After all that the bride was finally able to make her way over to her tiny little spot that was clean and stand there and hold onto her veil with all her might. It was windy.
I then walked across the very uneven ground and stood up on this little hill/mound and tried to keep balance while capturing the photo.
Then, I had to know how to properly expose, use creative composition and not miss anything b/c I'd never be in that spot again.
Lots of work. Still a dream come true.
I'm pretty sure I've told you but we have a licensed drone pilot now ;)

We arrived back in Michigan late last week from a bucket list two weeks in Ireland and Scotland.I can't wait to share more of these images with you. It was such an incredible experience!

It may have rained for Jake and Katelyn's day at Venue3Two, but it was still the perfect setting for their wedding. The venue's charm, space, and location created an ideal spot for them to get away and share a few moments together. Plus, they say rain is good luck on your wedding day, right?
Sometimes there are fun family sessions......and sometimes, there are family sessions that happen in the rain because you don't have the chance to reschedule and they turn out to be one of your most favorite sessions ever.
