😇🇯🇲Today marks 22 years since my beloved mother left us. One might think that with time, this day would become easier, but the ache remains as profound as ever.

Reflecting on cherished memories, I recall being 7 years old when Mom taught me to cook my first meal: oxtail. I noticed she never tasted the dishes she prepared. It wasn’t until I was older that I understood—Mom was a pescatarian and didn’t eat meat. Yet, she lovingly cooked meat dishes like oxtail and chicken for my siblings and I, while preparing vegetables or fish for herself and Dad.

Now, whenever I’m in the kitchen, I feel a deep sense of peace and closeness to her. This is why I never taste test my food while cooking. Cooking has become my way of honoring her memory and keeping her spirit alive.

Mom, your love and lessons continues to guide me. I miss you every day. Love you always… Chef Nat 👩🏽‍🍳💚🙏🏽

Pickup will be in Boiling Springs, and trays will be limited.
