Job Summary:
The Manager in Training (MIT) will report directly to the current General Manager(GM) or Area Manager(AM) The MIT will be, under supervision from the current GM or AM, responsible for all day to day operations of the store. The MIT will undergo a training program and work closely with the GM or AM to prepare them for solo management of the assigned location. Upon successful completion of the manager training program, the candidate will be eligible for promotion to the GM role.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Under supervision of the GM or AM, the MIT will supervise and direct the FOH and BOH Managers to achieve the goals set forth for the assigned location.
• Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff.
• Oversees the daily workflow of the store
• Provides constructive and timely feedback on performance.
• Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
• Maintains employee schedule consistent with labor goals
• Completes weekly payroll reconciliation
• Hires and trains seasonal staff as needed during peak holiday seasons.

Duties/Responsibilities:
• Employee Scheduling
• Daily inventory
• Supervise FOH and BOH Managers and sets daily tasks and goals
• Weekly product ordering
• Local marketing and relationship building in community
• Maintain cleanliness and operations of store to Honeybaked Standards
• Communication with AM or GM on daily issues and successes
• Manage cash operations within acceptable variances

Required Skills/Abilities:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Excellent sales and customer service skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong understanding of P&L and how to affect COGS
• Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
• Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least two years related experience required.
General Management Experience preferred
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of standing.
Lifting may be required, up to 65lbs unassisted.
Bending, Stooping, sitting, twisting
Prolonged periods of work with a blow torch may be required.
