We pride ourselves on the magical forest weddings that we host here at The Music Camp. From the trees to the river, from the earth and open air— it just doesn’t get better than this!

Our philosophy is that a wedding is a bonding experience between sets of fam and friends that are coming together. It should be more than a quick wedding and everyone drives off drunk— we offer a weekend long experience that’s exclusive to you and all your loved ones!

The staff and management want to send out a big thank you to John, Lisa and Trixie for selflessly sharing this amazing property with the community. John & Lisa Featherston along with their dog,Trixie are not just the owners of The Music Camp, they are the creative curators of this beautiful private outdoor event park. John established The Music Camp in 1998 for personal outdoor recreation and river access for friends and family. Since then it has been lovingly cultivated into the stomping grounds for generations of Spartanburg musicians, artists and outdoor enthusiasts. When not on a golf cart “putterabout” recounting the vast history of the grounds or traveling the world you’ll find John & Lisa hosting weekly pottery sessions at their in-home ceramics studio in Spartanburg, SC. When visiting The Music Camp come say hello and ask about the “last recorded drummer for the original Pink Floyd” or debate the origin of an obscure Marshall Tucker tune. Bring a chair and a few beers!

While things are cooling off for the year, we are still reeling over our last wedding! We want to take a moment to congratulate the newly married couple, Peyton and Matthew. Their wedding was the perfect fit for The Music Camp. We couldn’t have dreamed up a better whimsical fairytale if we tried!

We cannot wait to host GET OFF THE GRID FEST '23 @ The Music Camp !

We had the pleasure of meeting Jacob Towe at the Get Off The Grid Charrette at FR8yard in downtown Spartanburg, SC.

Jacob is the owner of Farmfare Grocery in Pauline, SC. he is networked with a multitude of local farmers and homesteaders, providing vegetables and meats that are of a higher quality than conventional chain groceries.
