Sweet Aubrey,

I never thought that after planning this photo shoot for you, your amazing mother would pass away just a few weeks later. Your mother was a light in the darkness, a friend always, and a faithful guide when times were uncertain. She was the most genuine person that I was ever lucky enough to meet and to befriend. I will never forget her infectious laughter, her crazy antics, or listening to her dote on about her three amazing daughters and loving husband. She is truly the person that we should all aspire to be. However, when doing this photo shoot, I realized that we haven’t lost her at all. I see this photo and I see your mother. In your smile, in that bright light in your eyes, and I heard her in your laugh. We are never promised tomorrow, but we are promised that one day we will all be together again. My heart is with you daily, my prayers are with you daily, and I will always be here if you need me.
I truly hope your night was everything your mom hoped it would be and so much more.
