Yesterday at Sam's I was waiting on my meat order. Let's go look in the meat counter. Went over to the hamburger was no marked down meat. I went to the steak cooler and saw two red labels on steaks. That means they are marked down and are leftover from the day before. I look 2 prime ribeyes marked $14 off. One package just happened to land in my cart. It's what's for supper tonight on the Weber kettle grill.

Received a phone call Wednesday people wanting some pulled pork on Friday. I pulled it off. Pork butts were frozen. Thawed it out in a cold water bath. Seasoned Thursday night and threw it in the smoker at 10pm. Pulled them off at 6am. Went to work for a bit. 11 am came home, pulled the meat and had it in Dodge by 12:30. Was a good day. Then today I went to Sam's in Garden City and went broke buying supplies for future cooks I have coming up. The wife and I went up to the Windmill Restaurant here in town for supper. Came home just in time . As we walked in the door the hail hit. That is the picture of the stones that fell.
Spearville you are on the next one again. United Telephone has asked me to do their 75th anniversary customer appreciation lunch. Looking forward to doing that. The date for that is June 24th. Then the 27th I will be in Fowler for a Burkhart Real Estate and Auction. Then will be off for a couple weeks and then the City of Windmills festival here in Spearville City of Windmills COW Fest. Thank you Spearville and the visitors to town. I was really happy how things went. I also say thank you for your patience today, since I was a one man crew. I was a little disappointed with the pork belly burnt ends. I over cooked them and dried the meat out some. I was happy with everything else though. Us cooks are our own worst critique. I started today at 1 this morning. Now it is time for a shower and a nap. We will be off for a bit now. Good thing cause my tow rig is in the shop getting a motor. Until next time keep yer nose to the wind cause you never know what you might Smell Whats Cookin' .

These pork belly are the easiest item to prep in bbq. Open the bag up, cut in strips then cube. Throw in a pan and get seasoned up. These are going to be a tasty Saturday here in Spearville. Will be set up in the park by the large shelter. That way you can visit while waiting on your order. The only thing I ask is please be patient with me. I am going to be a one man crew Saturday. I will have roughly 20lbs of these pork belly burnt ends with me. Plus our brisket, pulled pork, cheesy potatoes, baked beans and Mac n cheese. Sorry no Nacho's. Can you Smell Whats Cookin' .

Hello again Spearville and surrounding communities. I have some news where I will be at in the park. I will be set up next to the big shelter. That way people can talk about the treasures they found out garage saling and if you want to, you can sit at the picnic tables and eat. Hope to see you here in town this Saturday June 6th. Spearville, I have some bad news and good news. First off the bad news. I will not have any nachos this Saturday. My cheese sauce is on back order, the story of my life, won't have any at least 6 weeks.
Now the good news. We are going to be offering you a new item. It is called pork belly burnt ends. They will be around 1 inch square of goodness. Can't wait to see all of you Saturday. Going to try and be open no later than 10:30. I maybe going a little before that though. Of you see the window open. I am ready for business. Can you Smell Whats Cookin' .
