We was out at the expo yesterday for the horse sale. I was worried about it at first. Wasn't seeing very many people. Then from about 11 to 1 we got swamped. I had an original goal of 50 tickets for the size of the crowd. Ended up with 75 tickets. It turned out better than I thought. It was a good day. This Saturday we are doing a private party that has to be ready by noon. We also received things I have been waiting for, for the house. Guess I took the wrong month off for the trailer to work on my house. Now that we are going to get busy with the trailer I have things to do on my house also. Going to be a busy time. We will get there. Can you Smell Whats Cookin' .

It is still early but we are out here at the Western State Bank Expo Center for the Reimann Quarter Horse sale today. We will have all of our goodies for you today. We will have candy bars for a tie over till you want to get you some award winning BBQ along with the Craig's BBQ sauce from Texas Pepper Jelly. Hope to see you out here. We are a week away from this event. The people doing this event contacted me at the first of the year. I am going to take a break from working on our house and do this event. Looking forward to doing this one. The people putting this on are some great people. Hope to see you out at the Western State Bank Expo Center for this one. This is our next event. Will take a short break from putting our house back together after our water damage. Excited to be at this first time event for us. Hope to see you there.

Still not doing anything. We are still working on our house. Waiting on one more item then we will get the kitchen project started. Ready to get our house back in order but making progress to that. Busy working on other items that needed done also. Trying to get a hold of my guy in Lacrosse to see if I can back out of that event. If they don't have enough trucks I will go. I would rather stay here though and get our kitchen done. Hopefully here something from him this week. I have sent message but no reply yet. Hope everyone has a great week and we hope to be back out and going in October.

I was work today mowing. Doing some thinking of what all needs to be done around here. Light bulb went off and said, dang I need to get those steaks cut. We bought a ribeye loin here probably at least 7 weeks ago. It's been in my walkin cooler all that time. Still in the original package. I had rotated it from time to time. Anyway cut 10 nice 1 and 1/4 inch thick steaks. Rhonda goes let's cook 2 tonight for supper. We did and oh man they are amazing. I got a nice age on them and they were melt in your mouth tender. That is why I try to have people contact me early on their orders. That way I can get a nice age on the beef meats. Yes you can tell a difference from a good aged meat and one that hasn't. Sorry no pics of it. I knew this was going to be a good one when I picked it up out of the walkin. It was nice and limber. Everyone have a great rest of the week. Also watch out for the kids going back to school.

Took a break from the house yesterday and worked on the vending trailer. Cleaned it up and dug out the steam table to see what is going on with it. I think my thought would be cheaper but that was not the problem. It burned up the thermostat on it. Probably like a lot of other things in the trailer a bad connection caused it. Everything is always loose connection in it or they put things together with scotch locks on wiring. So I ordered two new thermostats for it at $100 bucks a piece. At least it wasn't the whole thing. Now to get busy putting my house back together. We will be off for the whole month of August. Have some things lined up in September and October to do. Hope to see you at one of the events. Grr my steam table has quit tonight. At least everything is staying hot in my hot holding box. That way I can continue to sell. If what's going on what I think is. Going to get a circuit on its own installed. Not tied in with 3 plugs on a 15 amp circuit. I wished the company that built this would have listened to my instructions. I wanted all plugs on separate circuits. Haven't realized that until later on. Good thing we are going to be off for awhile so I can get my house back together after our water line break. Then also work on this trailer. 2025 hasn't been good to us. Ready for this year to be over with. It has been one thing after another.

I hope everyone's weekend is going well so far. We did another catering job today. When the clients brought my hot boxes back they were really pleased with the meal. They were really excited about the brisket and were asking lots of questions.
NEXT FRIDAY EVENING. we will be back at the Boot Hill Distillery . Mark your calendar for August 1st. I am thinking of bringing a surprise with me also. Be on the lookout here when it gets closer to what it may be. Looking forward to being back. Can you Smell Whats Cookin' .

Went through tickets tonight here is the result from the Spearville City of Windmills COW Fest . We served 350 people in roughly 5 hours of non stop serving. 3 hours at noon and 2 hours in the evening. We also went through 13lbs of elbow macaroni. Let's just say that is a bunch of noodles. I also want to give a big shout out to my crew. THANK YOU to Rhonda, Jennifer and Rick. I felt like it ran really smoothly for a change. We were getting orders out in 1 minute and 30 seconds. Overall I am extremely happy with how it went. We also had our mind off what has happened to our house. We will be back at it this weekend with a catering for a family reunion.
