“Zach and I initially met in 2019 through mutual friends. After some years, we reconnected in 2022 for a coffee date and have been together ever since! Zach has been steadfast by my side through major life changes. He has been with me moving from my hometown in Minnesota to Oklahoma, graduating college in South Dakota, and all of my career endeavors. Zach currently resides in Minnesota, so we’ve spent the last year of our relationship long distance. We can’t wait to finally be together after our wedding and begin our journey!”

Their story:

“Luka came to the United States in 2013 on a soccer scholarship and attended Oklahoma Wesleyan in Bartlesville. A year later, Sarah attended OKWU as well. Though they spent three years at a small university- probably walking past each other, attending the same classes, eating in the same cafeteria, and having mutual friends, their paths never truly crossed.
Years went by and they both navigated life’s challenges with their careers, relocating multiple times, and the uncertainty of the future. Luka and Sarah finally met through mutual friends in 2021. They became friends and continued to communicate occasionally, but lived their lives independently and separately. Luka consistently would also ask their friends about Sarah and what she was up to, urging them to set them up, but the timing was never right.

Finally, in 2023, by what seemed like something that could only be an act of God, Sarah and Luka finally professed their long time admiration for each other. The admiration quickly materialized into love and there has been no separating them since.

It is interesting to think about what could have been if the two would have met and dated ten years ago, but I think both of them and everyone else who is witness to their relationship would agree that God’s timing could not have been better in making something so beautiful and special.”
