Inspired by its annual "anti-festival" hosted on Willie Nelson's Luck, TX property, Luck Reunion creates unique spaces for cultural discovery. Nearly 10 years ago, a group of friends came together with a vision for a new kind of live music experience. We knew we wanted to honor the cross-section culture that has long motivated creative tradition; to preserve traditions in music, food, and craft; a

nd to create a stage for modern-day outliers who are influenced by the legacies before us. What started as a one-day event has grown into a community; a platform for us to share the ethos of Luck and bring together musicians, chefs, and artisans who are contributing to American roots culture in an authentic way. In addition to the flagship annual event, Luck produces content and experiences both in and out of Luck with the mission of providing a space for craftsmanship, preservation and discovery. Our goal is to attract musicians, artisans, and chefs, who like the outlaws and outliers before them, follow their dreams without compromise.

Our December Luck Family Record Club selection, Willie Nelson's Christmas album Pretty Paper, is a mainstay on all of our turntables this time of year, and we hope it will bring you joy this season - in your home, or wrapped for a loved one if it's already in your collection. Club members will also get to place Willie’s guitar on the tree this year, as the album comes with an exclusive Christmas-scented “Trigger” ornament. ⁠

While chock full of holiday standards sung in the way only Willie can, the standout is the title track. "Pretty Paper" was inspired by a man Nelson saw outside a Fort Worth department store selling gift paper, ribbons, and pencils from the street, on hands and knees due to a spinal disorder. The song, according to Willie, was a tribute to him.⁠

The poignant ode is wrapped in joyful and familiar tunes that we, for one, can't wait to have on repeat. We hope you'll listen along with us.⁠

Night one of “Look West” will bring the film’s star Amy Irving & special friends to Luck, TX to cap off a day of movies with a one-of-a-kind live performance under the stars celebrating the 1983 film that gave us some of our favorite music moments, from “On The Road Again” to “Angel Flying Too Close To The Ground”.
