Music can be a lifelong adventure, with endless possibilities. Here are some pics from 2016 centrum jazz camp where our director .bademcmurphy learned from JD Allen and George Cables! ✨💖 This was as an adult, post undergrad and before she went to grad school, started .jazz.spokane or became the director of SAJE..... You never know where music can lead you, but you'll meet some amazing people along the way! Her love of the music leads her to providing great experiences like this with our local youth! 🎷✨💕💖

Lil Hardin Armstrong class started today at 1pm with 6 middle school students! We've got classes on Tues, wed, Thurs and Saturday this year. We might be opening up a Monday option soon!

Brendan McMurphy started the Hank mobley and Dexter Gordon groups yesterday at Northwood Middle School! One of our students Jace samaha has been attending jam sessions with us and is going to be part of the elite group as one of our student mentors this year 🎉 He joined to the groups yesterday to mentor the younger students, and talk about his development and practice ritual. We believe in mentorship and community development!

Our directors have been busy with preseason events and many SAJE students attended the Jeremy Pelt show at Hamilton as well as the Ryan the Keberle and glass bead orchestra show on November 3rd!
