Being Santa's, we are always ready to get our picture taken, but most of the time, forget to actually do it. . .🤔

If you're going to watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, keep an eye out for 2 of our Santa's. They are playing in the "Saluting America's Band Director's" Marching band. Santa Jacob plays the snare drum. Santa Tim plays the tuba. Both of them have bright white beards!

For 8 years, Santa Curtis has been serving the Ogden area. One of his favorite things to do is ride his vintage bicycle around and hand out candy canes in neighborhoods. You may have seen him doing that or in Ogden's Christmas Village. Santa Curtis sings, reads books, and does magic tricks. We had our meeting today to discuss, learn, and train how to be better Santa's. We went on a parade around the mall and handed out joy and candycanes to children. Then we had the incredible opportunity to learn from our friends at the Rockin Reindeer Ranch about Lily, Blueberry, and all our other reindeer friends. Incredible day of camaraderie and companionship.

According to many Christian traditions…

March 15th in the year of 270 AD, 1,748 years ago, a child was born in Patara, Lycia (today it is modern day Turkey, but at the time it was Greek) to a very wealthy couple…Nonna and Theophanes. The child was named Nicholas after his uncle. He became St. Nicholas.

Saint Nicholas, also called Nikolaos of Myra or Nicholas of Bari, was Bishop of Myra, in Asia Minor, and is a historic Christian saint. Because of the many miracles attributed to his intercession, he is also known as Nikolaos the Wonderworker.

Note: Some experts put the year of his birth year at 280 AD.
