This holiday season, Brooksville Main Street is excited to announce the 2nd Annual Family Sensory Christmas Celebration on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 4pm-8pm at Hernando Park located at 205 E Ft Dade Ave in Brooksville. This special event is designed to create a magical and inclusive holiday experience for families with children of all abilities, especially those with sensory sensitivities.

The magical evening will be bursting with holiday cheer, candy-themed fun and activities designed for everyone in a cozy, sensory-friendly way. Think candy canes, gum drops, and a dash of holiday sparkle- all we’re missing is you!
Event Highlights Include:
• Sensory-Sensitive Santa Visit: Santa will greet children in a calm and quiet setting, offering an opportunity for personalized interactions without the long lines and loud noises.
• Low-Sensory Activities: A variety of holiday-themed crafts, sensory play stations, and activities designed to engage the senses.
• Movie Magic Meadow: Enjoy a classic Christmas film in a Candy Land setting
• Christmas Craft Market: where local artisans, crafters, and food vendors gather to bring you a festive shopping experience.

I bought and read the book The girl with the sparkle soul written by Rachel and Brian Brijbag. What a wonderful story with such meaning! The pictures were so vibrant and colorful. Thank you for such an amazing book written by a family in our community!
