Andrea makes October look like July! This beauty should win an Oscar for hiding how chilly it was when we took this last week. Mom was standing by with the coat and it was all worth it for such beautiful pictures.

These end of the session low key portraits are my absolute favorites. Low key is actually a photography term used to describe images that are darker and moodier. Abby looked beautiful in the brighter photos but this….I love. Thank you Abby and Jessica, for a fun jaunt around the farm. P.S. tap the image twice to see it in all its glory.

It's not easy to edit when you hear Lions commentators screaming from the other room but it sure is easy to love this portrait of Fisher. I wouldn't do senior pictures if my kids and families didn't embrace west Michigan weather the way they do. We use the elements to create beautiful portraits and on this evening the wind showed up and Fisher showed out!

It's really tough to stick to this one-picture limit I've put on myself to keep me focused on finishing final portraits. Traveled across the state for this handsome football captain. I've known Sawyer since he was born and he's just as cute as ever. Jen - you know why I love this? The clouds in the rear window! And the laughs we had. And seeing you all again.

I'm now down to one-picture previews because I am buried in editing! I love this of Levi doing what he loves! If you know Levi, you know he could have done this for miles and miles. He's an awesome cyclist and a sweet guy and I loved this session.

This FHE guy! Theo nailed his session in a dozen ways not the least of which was dressing to the nines for his wave smash portrait. Lake Michigan was so excited to have such a dapper dude visiting, she couldn't stop waving! Mom even got in on the action but we'll save that for the full preview.

What I learned in capturing this beautiful picture of Lindsay: 1) Lindsay is as bold as she is beautiful. She waded out into deep water to find this spot because I had corduroys on. 2) Never wear corduroys to a shoot no matter how late in the fall it is. 3) Always check the battery! Once that brave girl got out on the sandbar, and I followed her out in thick pants, my battery died! I nearly lost a lung sprinting from said sandbar all the way to car and back (in wet corduroys!) before it was pitch black out. And still, I love this. I hope Lindsay does too.

At first glance, you may not realize who this is! Not that she isn't always beautiful but I swear, at this session Bethany was channeling a supermodel and the beach was her runway. She absolutely nailed it! Thank you for a super fun night Sarah and Bethany!

You know I love a good wave smash portrait but sometimes the old girl is just as mellow as the day is long. Because our west Michigan seniors are so beautiful and grew up with the big lake, we still capture stunning portraits. Bethany - we nailed it. I love this.

You know how one-year-olds have a cake smash picture? I think I’ve created a wave smash picture for 17-18 year-olds. All my beach seniors do it, mostly to humor me, and I love it. Kate’s older brother’s was awesome so we were out to beat it. I think it’s a tie for the Witherells!
