CALL FOR ENTRY LARGE FORMAT ARTISTS
Global Spectrum, operators of the MassMutual Center, in coordination with the Massachusetts Convention Center Authority (MCCA), seeks large scale 2D artwork from artists (minimum size 36”x48’), artisans and/or designers to develop interior public artwork(s) concepts for long term display within the downtown Convention Center. The six (6) month display will highlight local artists. There are a variety of spaces within the Center where the art could be displayed with an initial focus on a large pre-function space located near the exhibition hall.
Standing in the heart of the Pioneer Valley, the MassMutual Center is the most diverse function space in Western Massachusetts. Boasting 100,000 square feet of flexible space, the MassMutual Center is the perfect back drop for any event. All under one roof, the MassMutual Center offers an elegant ballroom, five fully-functional meeting rooms, a 40,000 square foot exhibit space, plus a totally renovated 8,000 seat arena.
The MassMutual Center hosts hundreds of events per year. With approximately 300,000 annual visitors between the two venues, the convention center is host to conventions, trade shows, concerts, meetings, galas and other special events. More information on the venue can be found on the website www.massmutualcenter.com.
