It was asked the other day about how to grow tulips & if someone without a green thumb can grow them, and the answer is ABSOLUTELY!

Tulips are probably the easiest flower to grow- I just have a vendetta against them simply for the amount that I grow & how they are all ready to harvest at once, and our lack of storage space. It is a very busy time for us when tulips are ready, but for personal use, they couldn't be easier!

You simply..
•dig a hole 6-8" deep in a sunny location. Now til mid November is ideal planting time for our zone!
•throw the bulbs in, pointy side up.
•"egg carton spacing" is ideal, where they are close together like eggs in a carton, but not touching. (Mine touch & they still grow just fine!)
•cover up with dirt
•water them in & wait til Spring!

Remember when I said I wouldn't order 2000 tulip bulbs again? Well... I did. In order to keep prices low for you, I have to buy in bulk, and with all the beautiful varieties I *need*, things add up fast!

That said, I still don’t exactly want to plant, dig up, wash, and store 2,000 bulbs again... SO, I’ll be offering some of my specialty cut flower bulbs for sale this year!

Do I know how risky it is to announce something on Facebook with little more than 24 hrs notice? Yes. Am I gonna do it anyway? Also yes.

The Bloom Bin will be open TOMORROW, 10/8 from 3-6pm. It's October, and finally feeling like it, so come grab your locally grown flowers while you still can.

We've got a busy weekend ahead with two events and the last of our subscription bouquets, so that means I cannot accept anymore orders for buckets or bouquets in September 🤯 Thank you all for your support as we wrap up this season! Your last chances to find our flowers this year (other than possibly a few random bouquets/buckets in October-maybe) will be Saturday at Veseli for a pilates+coffee+flower bar event (tickets still available!!), and Sunday at Springfield NE Farmers Market

We will NOT be opening the Bloom Bin this month, but if you need a flower fix just shoot me a message! With these cooler nights (yes, I know it's Summer again this weekend) I have a feeling our season is ending a little early this year, but Mother Nature just loves to keep me guessing 🤷‍♀️
