A friend told me something a couple weeks ago that really resinated with me. I have been ruminating in the thought since. She said she had used me as an example when discussing with their children how some people are able to keep a positive, happy outlook after enduring tribulations while others may become bitter and reasons why this may happen. I don’t often talk about the most difficult parts of my life on here. Some of my close friends know how, for many years, our family just couldn’t seem to catch a break. A string of tragedies happened, one after another. (I will share some details in the comments below for any who are interested in knowing.) My friend’s thoughts were that one of the reasons I have been able to keep positive despite all these trials has been the simple act of spending so much time in nature: grounding myself to the earth, keeping my hands in the living soil, and immersing myself in God’s creative, miraculous designs daily. I have to agree with her. I often joke about needing dirt therapy. It’s instant dopamine for me. I’m a nature junkie. Flower farming, in many ways, has saved my life. How can I be depressed or bitter when I see and feel such intense love from this planet we’ve been gifted? I hope you all have a wonderful day and are able to soak in regular time in nature.
