Since 2000, I learned from SARK about creating a playbook. A playbook is a place to write, include imagery, moments, quotes... I turned it into a vision book that I reflect and add to each new year. Combining the power of visualization, feeling, and written word is powerful magic. We create our tomorrow. What does yours look like?

One would invite me to a play, I'd decline. Another town, many years later, another invite, I'd decline. I'd decline because I couldn't grasp what the actors were saying. It's not only the volume, it's the clarity and reading faces. Plus, the uncertainty of the speaker system quality and placement. Not all with hearing challenges use Sign Language and not all performances have interpreters. 🤟
Tonight, I experienced first open captions at a play. 😭 Snuck a clip of Leroy and Lucy at Steppenwolf Theatre Company to show you what it is. 🥰 So happy I looked to see if captions are offered.

*It was amazing to see what only two actors can do on stage. It was a story on blues legend Robert Johnson who sold his soul.

Excited to hang my rug on the wall and use in rituals. In the 6 hours of shooting yarn (tufting), I realized a firepit and gems were next. Transformed into an altar: water, earth, fire, spirit. I had so much fun 'painting' with yarn and letting whatever happen. 🧶 Gotta have a playdate with Legos, fairies or action figures on it. It's so cute.

Inspiring day supporting Friends of the Forest Preserves ! We explored disc golf, sampled yummy ciders and sours, and even used invasive Buckthorn dye for bandanas. Spreading happiness by helping adults rediscover their inner child. ☺️
I'm always a tourist. Especially if I keep moving. 😂 Best way to experience a community is by foot. Even better when someone does the research for you. So far I know about Ravenswood and here I learned about Edgewater. Check out a tour by Chicago for Chicagoans.

Tonight, I am reminded to embrace the flow of life and let it guide me. While exploring a neighborhood, I stumbled upon a small block party with a bluegrass band that happened to stop by, playing Scrabble at a bar using every piece. It's a joy to be open to laughter and intellectually stimulating activities that enhance my spiritual well-being/mental health.
