Read this before you send out a single invite ↓
Your wedding day should feel peaceful, intentional, and full of people who make your heart feel steady — not a room full of “we should invite them.” If you’re stuck on your guest list, use this checklist to make it easier:
The Coffee Test ✅
If grabbing a quick coffee with them feels awkward, draining, or like something you’d put off… why would you want them present for one of the most emotional moments of your life? Your wedding should feel warm and familiar — not like forced small talk at table seven.
The Peace Check ✅
Picture it: you’re walking down the aisle, soft music playing, everyone rising to their feet. Now imagine them in that room. Did your shoulders relax… or did your stomach tighten a bit? Your body knows before your mind does. Protect your peace — it matters more than you think!
The Effort Rule ✅
Think about the last season of your life. Who showed up? Who checked in? Who celebrated your joy and held space for your stress? If someone hasn’t been part of your world lately, they don’t need VIP access to one of your biggest milestones.
The Energy Match ✅
Your wedding has a vibe — calm, joyful, intentional. Invite people who fit into that energy, not people who drain it. If you already know they’d bring tension, gossip, or chaos… let that be your sign.
The “Future Photo” Test ✅
Imagine looking at your wedding photos years from now. Will seeing their face make you smile… or cringe? If the answer isn’t an immediate yes, it’s okay to let them go.
Choose the people who add warmth, not weight. 🤍
Send this to someone struggling with their guest list & remind them they’re allowed to put their peace first!
