Miss Karen… how I love a custom client!!
Modeca was the designer of the gown she almost loved. She loved the design, but wanted silk satin. And then she found this amazing 1 yard of beaded lace for the veil and gown embellishment…. Let the games begin!
The original gown had lace on the front only …I suggested that it wrap around to the back fading to zero at the zipper.
The original was a stretch Mikado.. behaves differently than the silk satin with zero stretch. Not a bad thing, just different!
Her veil…. Another serious project!! Her wedding was last June. Her veil was started in January! She found this amazing beaded piece of lace. Bit it was intricate with leaf points and a whole lot of beading which meant it’s all executed by hand!
Lace of any kind means trimming for days!! The pic with arrows tries to show the before and after. Lace with let over tulle needs to be trimmed.
Karen’s California vineyard wedding was beyond stunning, casual, and elegant all at the same time! So well done…
