Long ago in the back alleys of Chicago, Jon Franklin took his first photograph, learning to capture light through the shadows of the L. train and translating urban angles into composed cityscapes. Buddha of the Cave. I heard tales of a Buddha in a mountain cave outside Vang Vieng Laos. So I rented a bike, climbed a mountain, and did some spelunking. It took all day, but was a most amazing adventure.
