When we learned that B proposed to D after a 17 mile hike in the Rocky Mountains, we wanted to capture a bit of the magic from their engagement by incorporating some of the beautiful trees from their journey! Evergreens were the perfect backdrop for the head table we positioned in front of the floor to ceiling windows at !

D + B’s wedding colors were seamlessly woven through the tablescape using winter greenery, velvet roses and napkins, pine cone place cards, and cranberries.

Shades of burgundy were the signature colors at D+B’s winter wedding. We opted for a burgundy velvet aisle runner, chiffon archway drapes, tulle aisle swags, candles and carefully scaled flowers to accent the natural beauty of the barn at !

D + B’s guests enjoyed an elevated take on a seasonal favorite: hot chocolate! We stocked their hot cocoa bar with mini marshmallows, crushed peppermint, whipped cream and chocolate shavings plus assorted mini bundtinis! We love how it all came together!

Scott and Molly wanted to make sure they had the opportunity to communicate their gratitude to all of their amazing friends and family, and I was so excited when they suggested bartending for their guests! The Pasta House bartenders were absolutely fabulous and turned the reigns over to Scott and Molly for 10 fantastical minutes of frantic drink making! We were so impressed at how many drinks they were able to make during that time!

While guests were enjoying connection and culinary delights, our team was busy setting the scene for the grand reveal of their reception space! We suspended 32 disco balls over the dance floor and provided bar style seating areas through the room. Scott and Molly saw their reception space at the same time as their guests. It was so special to see their faces as the garage doors lifted and everyone rushed in to dance with neon glow sticks! 🤩

Following the reception, our team had only 45 minutes to transform the lobby from the ceremony space to a breath taking multi-level intimate dinner experience. We loved this oversized king’s style table for the bridal party and immediate family members. We purposefully did not seat anyone in front of Scott or Molly so they could see all of their guests - above and below!

There wasn’t a dry eye in the room when Scott first saw Molly 🥹 We could not have dreamed up a better first look for these two! The Kirkwood Train Station was the perfect backdrop for this special moment, and we loved that we had some special guests watch from the window! Swipe to check it out 👉🏼

We wanted to give all the drama for her grand entrance, so we opted to utilize the beautiful glass staircase at the Kirkwood Performing Arts Center as a glorious non-traditional aisle! A stunning 20ft floral garland adorned the staircase and gave the illusion that Molly was emerging from the clouds to say her vows.
Guests were seated on both lobby levels, and to maintain an upscale experiential atmosphere, we created intimate seating areas using black on black chiavari chairs, black leather lounge furniture, and sleek white glow tables.

📢 YOUR VENDORS WANT YOU TO HIRE A DAY OF COORDINATOR 📢 We hear many couples say that don’t need a wedding coordinator because they have designated a family member or guest to be the exclusive point of contact for any issues that might arise on wedding day. Without any disrespect, we couldn’t disagree more! The decision to use family member or friend as an on-site decision maker comes with huge risks as it jeopardizes the successful management of your wedding. Your family member or friend generally has not been part of the wedding planning process from the beginning and therefore doesn’t fully understand your wedding vision or plans. While they might remember that your dessert bar is going by the stage and (maybe) could set up your pre-purchased cupcakes, they are usually ill equipped to make on site decisions and field standard vendor questions when things deviate from schedule on wedding day. One huge reason for bringing on a day of coordinator to manage your wedding is that your vendors will have a knowledgeable day of contact to help troubleshoot or answer any question they might have on your big day. Set up area not ideal based on changing weather conditions? Running behind on schedule due to traffic and need help making it to the finish line? 📢 VENUE COORDINATORS ARE NOT THE SAME AS DAY OF COORDINATORS 📢 Venue coordinators are a necessity, but they do not do the same things as day of coordinators. Do not expect your venue coordinator to prepare your wedding day schedule, connect with all of your vendors and coordinate arrival/set up times, buss tables, take out trash, set up or tear down your decor, or even get you down the aisle. Some of them will do a few of these functions, but most do not! That’s what a day of coordinator is for!! 🙋🏻♀️ Ask questions and make sure you have someone who is managing your entire day from start to finish or else you or your bridal party will have to.
