This engagement session turned family session is so sweet! 💍✨ Our session happened very close to the wedding day so I am posting this first then the wedding, which I am so excited to sneek peek. We played all along downtown St charles very early in the morning. Their very large dog gave me a side eye but he was sweet none the less I love a dog filled session. 📸❤️

When I tell you I love these two. They have the sweetest most beautiful love between them and they just envelop you in joy to be around them.

Todays sneak peek is Essence and DeShauns beautiful wedding at The Piper Palm House in
Quietly it’s one of my favorite venues.
And this couple was so lovely to work with. I enjoyed their energy and their enthusiasm their family was just amazing as well.
I really loved the bubble exit and the time in the vault at the Nobel.

I got a chance to shoot with my good friend Ed from and it’s so much fun to show your city off and get to see it through new eyes. He was very excited about the and was surprised when I said local brides don’t tend to prioritize this image on their wedding day.
The arch makes for such a beautiful statement image for StL weddings.

This one is special.
I don't think I have ever told him this but he made me SO. MUCH. BETTER. as a photographer. Jerren was GREAT. He was better than me when we met. We were shootng weddings and I was like... HOW does he do that!?? We would trade 2nd shooting slots, I'd shoot for him and he'd shoot for me and we just became family. He was my big little brother. I collect brothers. I have the best one ever in real life but I got a Thanos infinity gauntlet of great men who are my friends, and have become my family in photography and Jerren was the first one to be like "I'ma rock with you." And he has for 14 years. We've shot so many weddings together.
We've raised kids and been through all the things you go through as you go through life with your friends.
Then he met Anitra.
I remember how calm she was the first time I met her. She was soft and her smile was magic. I liked her right away. And I was happy when I would ask about her and she was still there, so when he called and said he was proposing I WAS SO SO excited. I couldn't be there but I knew we were gonna do these engagement pics.
And I don't get nervous too often shooting for people, but its my big little brother who was better than me. So we spent a good amount of time, walking (thanks HOKA for the support) and talking and just enjoying them being in love.
I love these pics. So much. I hope they do too.

When I first talked to Niahs mom about her senior pics it only took about 15 minutes for me to be all in for this family. If they needed a kidney I am totally in. Her mom has this spirit of joy when she talks about her. And i got to meet her sister who is more of the same. Niah’s such a great person and her family has really poured into her as a she finishes this chapter and gets ready for the next one! She’s the kind of beautiful spirit you want to see shine in the world and didn’t she shine on prom day?!? My lord. I am sure she was one of the most beautiful people at her prom. So I was thrilled when her mom said that prom photos were a priority! She absolutely owned these looks at the Art Museum

They laughed so easy.
The kind of laugh that says comfort and home. It moves through the air like cotton candy or summer breezes. Just, easy. When I took this job Will struck me as the kind of guy who was stoic and firm. Monet, she was the light in the fun. But in their session it was easy to see that well his light is just as bright as hers. And Monet is just as grounding for him.
They reminded me how true love can be today. And I cannot wait for their wedding.

Today was a good day to be a wedding photographer. Ever meet someone who made you forget you just met? That’s . I can’t remember the last time i liked someone so much off cuff. Just wanted all the joy for her. Ever meet anyone who made you want to be your absolute best? That’s He’s been in my world for 20 plus years and he’s always made me want to do more. Be better. Today I got to do my very best for him. And it was my honor.
It was a joy to do this today. I do love my job.
Also I didn’t know a yellow wedding dress was on my bucket list, instantly checked( you did it with this one)
This was also my first wedding, I understand why she stays booked. She’s such a beautiful spirit. I’d shoot with her planning any day
