As the seasons change from summer to fall, I can’t help but pause for a moment of reflection (while soaking up the fast and fleeting ideal patio weather).

It’s this time of year I find myself looking back on moments that challenged me, adversity that ignited growth, and the inexplicable joy that always prevailed.

This week will mark another trip around the sun; a trip marked by connecting deeper, living fuller, and loving more intentionally. My presence in the social media sphere was smaller, but my presence with the people and things that matter most was bigger than ever.

We are still creating magic, still loving on our clients and vendors with our whole hearts, and still dreaming big dreams. But this year has been the year for leaning into those things fully...and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

After a spur of the moment (solo) getaway, I feel more ready than ever for the sweet summer season and all she has to bring with her sunny rays and long days.

I am not just talking about the big days on the calendar, but the in betweens. The last minute patio hangs, early morning walks in the park (while most likely having a phone date with ), poolside chats at sunset, and summer happy hours that turn into summer nights…all sharing the same simple foundation. Connection.

A popular pizza mogul may have trademarked this phrase with a different connotation, but making the most of the inbetweens is my definition of “gathering round the good stuff.”

A moment like this isn’t the result of being perfectly posed or following a script; it’s the result of a beaming bride and gleaming groom embracing the euphoric love surrounding them.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​When I look at this picture, I see the type of moments I want to fill the year ahead. Moments defined by authenticity vs pretension, unboundable joy vs preconceived expectations, and most importantly, moments in which we surrender to all the goodness unfolding just as it should...

In 2023, my year was unintentionally shaped by INTENTION. After experiencing a major injury requiring a strenuous recovery, being intentional with my time & energy became the forefront of everyday life. In retrospect, the gift of intention was the gift that kept on giving, as it pushed me to also explore a greater sense of purpose in my creative work & the celebrations we craft for our clients.

As we head into 2024, I feel pulled to experience intention on a deeper level and go beyond being present. I want to fully EMBRACE the people, places, and things that make life MORE colorful, MORE jubilant, MORE inspiring!

"It's that time of year, when the world falls in love"...and social calendars are filled with ornament exchanges, holiday parties, and of course, festive cocktails. ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​One of our most favorite December weddings was anchored in bringing people together through good food, great cocktails, and thoughtful ex*****on. And what better catering extraordinaire than The Social Affair to make it happen!

As guests arrived at E&E's reception, they were greeted by specialty craft cocktails (inspired by their pups) to be enjoyed in the loveliest of glassware, and paired with a keepsake garnish - an ornament listing the cocktail recipe! A gift that keeps on giving :)

One of the crazy things about the hospitality industry is you can be in a room full of people, but still feel alone at the same time. It's not just about having people beside you; it's about having the right people.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Just over a year ago, serendipity brought into my life and we instantly clicked. Shortly after, we realized we belonged to the same gym, which led to a post-workout coffee date. At the time, I wasn't exactly sure what I needed, but something about our effortless connection and shared love of spreading to joy to others was enough to "say yes and figure out the rest later."

In the past year, we have grown as a team, as a company, and most importantly, as cheerleaders for one another, our clients, and our vendors. We are only as great as those who surround us, and I am so grateful to have this fellow fun-sized, go-getter by my side!

When a couple has been together for as long as C & L, the line between bride’s side and groom’s side is blurred. While high schools, college sports, and pledge classes may have brought certain people into their lives as individuals, to first be loved by one meant to soon be loved by both.

Their wedding day was a long time in the making, so it’s safe to say their the occasion was adorned with the utmost excitement, energy, and a shared sense of “FINALLY!”

From the moment you stepped into their pre-ceremony ice lounge, a electric energy was in the air, and continued to increase in excitement as we moved into the cocktail hour, reception, and of course, the dance floor.

Not only did Marggie change into a show-stopping second dress (making the party dress cool BEFORE it was was cool), but she lived up to her “wife of the party” title by rapping every word to Baby Got Back (mic drop)
