Thanks to our guest speaker, Elizabeth Freshour, from Camp Wyman. Kiwanis has had a long relationship with this amazing camp and we were proud to give them a check for $1,000.

Thanks to Lee Howard-Ginther and Gail Lee from the Elijah Moore Dreamers Scholarship for being our guest speakers today. Along with them were two of the three 2024 scholarship recipients. We gave the organization a check for $300.00. Elijah was an incredible student, who dreamed big during his short life.

Thanks to Angela Brunette from Basket of Hope for being our guest speaker today. Her organization gives hope to children with cancer or other serious illnesses with the delivery of a basket filled with toys, stuffed animals, games, crafts and more. Our Club donated $300 and members brought in board games for the baskets.

Our First Responder of the Month is Lt. Sam Biesterfield from the Crestwood Fire Department. Thanks to Sam for all of his hard work protecting our community and for running the health and wellness program at the station.

Congratulations to our two Scholarship Recipients, Adam Spree and Kristy Sholy. Each received a $1,500.00 scholarship from our Club. Both will be studying Biology at colleges in New York in August. Good Luck!!!

Thanks to Kevin Stephenson and Pete Kidd from Project Peanut Butter for being our guest speakers today. For over 20 years, this organization has saved the lives of thousands of malnourished children all over the world. We are proud to support their work with a check for $300.00.

In two years, our Little Free Library has circulated over 1,000 books. Thanks to all, who have visited our library at the Claire Gempp Davidson Memorial Conservation Area on Sappington Road.

Our guest speaker today was Martin Caupp from the South County YMCA. He shared the great news about their Adaptive Sports Complex opening later this month. Children in the St. Louis area will really enjoy this new facility.

Thanks to our guest speaker today, Tim Elwell, from Circle of Concern. We gave him a check for $500 to help out with all the wonderful work they do for families in St. Louis. Members also brought in donations of pasta, pasta sauce, meal helpers and canned chicken.

Congratulations to Libby Reimers and Bob Carpenter, the 2024 Bernard J. "Jimmy" Fidler Service Award recipients. They were honored today at the Southwest Area Chamber of Commerce Award Luncheon. Jimmy was a member of our Club and he set the standards for service in the community. Libby and Bob truly live up to those standards.

Thanks to Jane Beckman and Jen Trau from St. Louis Crisis Nursery for being our guest speakers today. They told us all about how they have been assisting families in our area for 38 years. Such incredible work they do!!! Members brought in donations of diapers to help out, as well.

We are always glad to have Lisa and Tony Slyman from Arms of Love as our guest speakers. They both have made a big impact on the lives of children in Nicaragua. Food, clothing, education and a safe environment are all part of the assistance provided to these children. Glad we can help support their mission.

We cooked at Ronald McDonald House last night. We made roast beef, baked potatoes, mixed vegetables, salad, buns and desserts for the families.

Last weekend, Kiwanis members teamed up with Lindbergh Schools students in the Lindbergh High School Key Club and the middle school Builders Club. We raked leaves for Crestwood residents who are in need of assistance, and spent time talking with our neighbors and getting to know them better.
