Concerto stasera 21:30: Professori e studenti Clazz 24’ feat. con ex-studenti Clazz, will feature Clazz returning alumni. This summer we are so proud to have Clazz alumnus from 2018 and 2019 join us on faculty, cellist Elijah Lacin. After completing his Master of Music degree at the San Francisco Conservatory in 2023, studying with world renowned pedagogue, Bonnie Hampton, Mr. Lacin embarked on a professional orchestra career in Israel, serving as principal cellist of the Israel Symphony Orchestra of Beer-Sheva.

Melosphere a Merigar domani sera a 18:00!
Il 26 luglio si terrà un concerto all’interno del Tempio della Grande Contemplazione (Gompa), a 18:00, dal titolo Melosphere, che nelle parole del M° Helmut Lipsky, co-fondatore del festival “è l’universo dei linguaggi musicale senza frontiere, è lo spazio dove classica, jazz, tango, rock, le musica latina e tzigana, musica antica o contemporanea si connettono per creare un vibrante e d eclettico suono, strutturato da elementi programmatici e narrativi.”
Al concerto si esibiscono gli insegnanti del Clazz: Helmut Lipsky, violino; Paul Butler, clarinetto; Nancy Stagnitta, flauto; Tim Kampen, violoncello; Andrea Pellegrini, pianoforte; Mariko Sato, pianoforte; Shawn Mativetsky, tabla; Jackek Kochan, batteria;

Tonight we remember our dear friend, Gonippo Bramerini at the Jazz Jam dedicato a Pippo Bramerini. The jazz jam at the Wish Pub has been our biggest event at the festival since we started it in partnership with Pippo in 2017. Pippo was one of Clazz’s biggest supporters, and everyone from nearly twenty countries has loved coming to his establishment over the years. We hope to honor your memory tonight through music, Pippo ❤️

We had a fantastic opening concert last night with our very talented students from eight countries at the beautiful Chiesa di San Leonardo of Arcidosso (dating back to 1188, and the current structure to the 16th century). Grazie mille Don Virgilio!
These two amazing pianists pictured here in front of really owned the stage. Christopher Smith, who attended Clazz last year, and will be starting at .nyc in the fall, performed a beautiful Mendelssohn “Concert Piece No. 2, Op. 114” with Adam Kasti and Abbey Herbage on clarinets. And then dazzled us with a solo program of Beethoven “Moonlight Sonata”, Ginastera “Danzas Arentinas”, and Lili Boulanger “Théme et variations”.
, a 27-year old professional jazz pianist from San Juan, Puerto Rico performed a captivating Gershwin “Summertime” with Pittsburgh singer , Afro-Cuban All Stars’ “Habana del Este” with large ensemble, and blew us a way with two of his own compositions, “Escape” and the “Meaning of Life.” Both of these inspiring musicians brought the audience to their feet! Bravi!!

Clazz, a new music festival at the intersection of classical and jazz idioms, offers a one-of-a-kind experience. Set in the historic center of Arcidosso, Italy, and situated in the heart of Tuscany, Clazz International Music Festival features a fully integrated musical journey for attendees. While some musicians will come to focus on their classical repertoire, others will be more inclined to harness their improvisational abilities. Clazz allows students the freedom to choose their own educational path.
