We are EXTENDING our early bird deadline to March 1st! This decision was made to accommodate a few newer faculty, and needed instruments. Especially if you play viola, cello, bass, guitar, oboe, clarinet, drums, or tabla, we highly encourage you to apply, as we have limited availability open for this summer still. If you apply by March 1st, there is no application fee, and you could be eligible for possible scholarship.
We are very impressed with the talented group of applicants so far, and will be in touch with all those who already applied, soon this week!

As a part of your application, we are asking for two contrasting recent recordings showcasing your current level and musicianship. If you feel comfortable recording a classical work, and a jazz (or another style) work, that would be ideal. Otherwise, if you are most confident in one style, please vary the works by tempo, time period, composer, etc. These recordings will be used to evaluate your acceptance to Clazz, ensemble placement, and taken into consideration for possible scholarship, for those who fill out the Financial Aid form.

We’re excited to welcome back our dear friend @miroslavhristovviolin to Clazz this summer! Hailed by Fanfare Magazine for his “razor sharp technique” and a “full palette of tonal colors,” Dr. Hristov has recorded for Centaur Records, Romeo Records, Blue Griffin Records, the Divine Arts Record label, Bulgarian National Radio and WUOT Knoxville. He is Professor of Violin and String Area Coordinator at the University of Tennessee. Clazz, a new music festival at the intersection of classical and jazz idioms, offers a one-of-a-kind experience.
