Next up at SLAM: Narrative Wisdom and African Arts, on view October 19–February 16!

This exhibition puts contemporary works by African artists working around the world in dialogue with historic works and showcases many works from SLAM's collection, including several recent acquisitions that have not yet been on view at the Museum.

Join us for the public preview of Narrative Wisdom and African Arts on Friday, October 18, from 4 to 8 pm! The public preview includes drinks and entertainment in Sculpture Hall, free tickets to the exhibition, and an opening program in The Farrell Auditorium featuring a brief talk about the exhibition followed by a performance by Yacouba Sissoko and his band SIYA.
