Sorry for the delay in posting – my computer took a spontaneous refresh break. We've patched things up and agreed to move forward. Now, with that little adventure behind us...
I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone involved in Wednesday's pop-up event. Seeing the smiles, the dancing feet on the dance floor, and the side conversations filled with laughter and hugs served as a beautiful reminder of why we do what we do and the community we're all a part of.
A heartfelt thank you to Electric Plug and The Most Evil Charlie for his patience and perseverance alongside me, and to Ann Johnson of Softened Shadows for bringing some incredible lasers and showing us the wonders that can unfold. A massive thank you to my good buddy 18Counting for consistently answering my calls, displaying your remarkable talents, and providing the always essential vibes. A huge shout-out and thank you to my very good friend Dj Goldenrod, who is truly the brightest crayon in the box (some will laugh, and others may eventually get the joke) — wishing you a very happy birthday and hope you enjoy Ludicrous! I want to express gratitude to my homie Letters from Goodish and Goodish Sound Systems for wrapping up with some killer and consistently wubby deep tunes, and I promise a much-needed boost to the lower frequencies next time, trust me. A tremendous thank you to my pal and one of the best break kneckin Junglists around Rahb Won for being there and keeping within the required 10lb lift limit — looking forward to having you turn heads at the decks again soon! A huge thank you to Dakota of Kota Pop Studios and all the fire artists who came, and I'm excited about collaborating again soon. No pop-up is complete without the always sexy and amazing close friend of mine, Mark m***a F'n Lewis — love you, brother and keep making that dance floor sexy. And Gwyndolyn, thank you for staying on that board at the start and allowing the festivities to continue, narrowly avoiding the need to call an ambulance for someone crashing out from an impromptu 50-50 rail grind into a front nose manual (not sure if you actually knew what you about pulled of there, but now you know ;)); great job sticking with it! Booth, it was an absolute pleasure to work with you and look forward to working together again soon. Amanda if you're serious and wanna play just holla at me, and it's already been decided and approved by the board, your official artist name will be: DJ Mizz BEATBOX, now roll with it. Sari sorry you weren't able to drop in but gonna hit ya up earlier for the next one, also be strong and Psy on. ;) Jac Christine, due to current feedback from event attendees, a height requirement will be made and all have ok to enter. 📏😉

That night, as I observed from a distance, I had an epiphany about something I've long wrestled with over the last several years. I realized that the misperceptions people had of me didn't incite anger or sadness; rather, they unwittingly re-ignited the passion that propelled me on a journey years ago to spread the love of music, the underground culture and its power to help those seeking inner peace or solace. I cannot emphasize enough that with every beat, passion should guide the rhythm—a lively dance, a heartfelt embrace, or 'bear'hug, from those present or passed but never forgotten.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you to each and every one of you who brought this event to life. Your energy is the pulse that keeps the StL Underground beating. Let’s keep this energy flowing, the beats dropping, and the love spreading. 🥰
