Winterland is developing a program to give adults the opportunity to skate with their siblings that have grown up to be young adults. This will be the first time that Winterland has offered this type program to skaters between 20 and 30 years old and the biggest benefit is we're going to give those skaters the opportunity to skate with their hockey playing parent(s).
It is a simple 10 week program of 75 minute ice times at Creve Coeur. The program will operate as our normal pond hockey style scrimmages to give everyone an opportunity to have some fun. Each week we'll rotate the rosters a little bit to give everybody a chance to play together. We have a 2 pass policy so we keep everyone involved and everyone knows it's a no check program.
We know that most of the kids(Young Adults) will have played High School hockey and some possibly with a collegiate background. This is not a program for Learn to Play novice skaters.
This will be a solid NovicePLUS situation.
Our goal is to find 11 parent/sibling pairs for 22 skaters and 2 goalies. But in the event we can not get the 11 pairs, we would open up the program to other Winterland NovicePLUS members to register so the programs operates.
