A HUGE THANK YOU to the Artisan at Baetje Farms for hosting The Artisan Bridal Show 2024!
It was fabulous getting to meet & chat with so many brides!
I didn’t have much time to mingle, but # it was great seeing my old friend, the Cole Coleman!
It’s always a treat to see the familiar faces from The View at Charleville Brewery & Winery and The Mill Room at the Dew Drop Inn!
It was great chatting with Ashley of Ashley's Portrait Co. and meeting new friends Matt of Matt Baer Media and Richard representing Abell DJ Company.
And it’s always nice seeing Joleta of 1st Class Travel, even if we didn’t have time to chat.
Buy The Bunch was there! If you ever need help with anything, I got you.
And Payal, thank you so much for being the hostess with the mostest and making this all possible!
Megan, behind the bar, thank you so much for the iced coffee treat!
Chef Dave, thank you for coming over to say hello. It’s always great to see you, brother!
For any one that was there, but not mentioned- please say hello next time! You’re my friends I haven’t met yet! 💫

And of course, thank you to all the brides for coming out to make this happen. It’s all about you! ❤️

for Brides-to-be: Navigating Unsolicited Wedding Advice during the Holidays.

The holidays are a time for family, friends, and festive cheer. But for brides-to-be, they can also be a time for an influx of unsolicited wedding advice from well-meaning relatives. While their intentions may be good, constant advice can feel overwhelming and stressful.

Here are two strategies to help you navigate unsolicited wedding advice during the holidays:

1. Minimize the Discussion:

Avoid bringing up your wedding around relatives who are prone to offering unsolicited advice. This may seem counterintuitive, but sometimes the best way to avoid unwanted opinions is to simply not bring up the topic.

Focus on other aspects of your life and the holidays. Share about your work, hobbies, or other exciting events in your life. This can help shift the conversation away from your wedding plans.

Set polite boundaries: If someone starts offering unsolicited advice, politely but firmly interrupt and say something like, "Thank you for your thoughts, but we've already made some decisions about that."

2. Deflect and Redirect:

Use the "enough about me" technique. When someone starts giving unsolicited advice, gracefully deflect the conversation by saying something like, "Enough about me! What's going on with you?" This shows your interest in them and redirects the conversation away from your wedding plans.

Ask open-ended questions. Instead of focusing on your wedding plans, ask your relatives about their own lives and experiences. This can help spark a more engaging and mutually beneficial conversation.

Prepare some conversation starters. Having a few interesting topics in mind can help you steer the conversation away from your wedding. This could be anything from current events to shared hobbies or family stories.

Remember, it's your wedding, and ultimately you get to decide how you want to plan it. Don't feel obligated to take any advice that you don't feel comfortable with. It's perfectly okay to politely decline unwanted suggestions and focus on enjoying the holidays with your loved ones.

Here are some additional tips for brides-to-be:

Talk to your partner in advance. Discuss how you want to handle unsolicited advice and come up with a plan together.
Practice your responses beforehand. This will help you feel more confident and prepared when faced with unwanted advice.
Remember, you are not alone. Many brides-to-be experience unsolicited advice during the wedding planning process. Don't be afraid to talk to other brides or friends for support.

By following these tips, you can navigate unsolicited wedding advice during the holidays and enjoy a stress-free and joyful festive season. 💫

: What to Do the Day Before Your Wedding

Hey lovebirds! The day before your wedding is here! Time to take a deep breath, relax, and enjoy the last few moments before you say "I do." Here are a few tips to help you make the most of it:

Get a good night's sleep. We know, we know. It's easier said than done. But trust us, you'll be glad you did when you're waking up feeling refreshed and ready to slay your big day.

Delegate tasks to your wedding party and vendors. You're not in this alone, my friend. You have a whole team of people who are there to help you out. So don't be afraid to ask for help with the last-minute details.

Confirm all of your arrangements. It's always a good idea to double-check with your vendors and venue to make sure that everything is running on schedule and that everything you need is in order.

Pack your wedding bags. This may seem like a no-brainer, but it's easy to forget things in the midst of all the excitement. Make sure to pack everything you need for the next day, including your wedding attire, accessories, and any other important items.

Spend time with your loved ones. This is your last chance to hang out with your besties and family before you embark on this new journey. So cherish these moments and make the most of them.

Here are a few additional tips:

Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate! Staying hydrated is key for looking and feeling your best on your wedding day. So drink plenty of water and avoid alcohol and caffeine, which can dehydrate you.

Eat a healthy breakfast. Start your day off right with a nutritious breakfast that will give you energy and focus. Avoid sugary cereals and pastries, and opt for something like eggs, oatmeal, or yogurt with fruit and nuts.

Take some time for yourself. Relax and de-stress before the big day. Get a massage, read a book, or take a long bath. Do whatever you need to do to clear your head and feel your best.

Don't stress the small stuff. Things don't always go according to plan on wedding days, but that's okay. Just roll with the punches and enjoy the day. Remember, it's all about you and your partner celebrating your love.

Most importantly, have fun and enjoy your wedding day! It's a day you'll cherish forever. 💫
