Important questions indeed! When you’re touring venues, asking the right questions can make all the difference in finding the perfect spot for your big day. At Scarborough House Resort, located just an hour east of Raleigh in Stantonsburg, NC, we’ve heard it all and are happy to answer any and every question to ensure your wedding day is unforgettable.

Here are some of the questions people often ask us:

❓Do you have heaters or fans for the pavilion?
Yes, we do! Our pavilion is equipped with commercial-grade heaters to keep your guests cozy during cooler months and fans to provide a refreshing breeze during warmer weather.

❓Can we jump in the pool after we get married?
Absolutely! It’s your day—celebrate in style! We’ve had couples make the most of their day with a post-ceremony splash.

❓Can we have fireworks?
Yes, we love fireworks! Just keep in mind that during an especially dry summer, we may have to adjust this plan slightly for safety.

❓Is there a place for shooting?
Yes, we do have a backstop area if that’s something you’d like to incorporate into your wedding weekend.

❓Can we bring our pets?
Yes to dogs, horses, and more! We’re an animal-friendly venue because we know how much your fur (or hoof) babies mean to you.

❓Can people stay on-site?
Yes! Scarborough House can comfortably accommodate up to 16 people on the property, making it easy to enjoy the entire weekend without having to travel back and forth.

❓What about alcohol?
We have a beer and wine permit and can provide both along with a bartender for your event. If you’d like hard liquor, you can get an additional permit, and we’ll work with you to make it happen.

November 11th, 11/11/2024 was a wonderful day to celebrate the wedding of Virginia and Anthony! This beautiful couple said "I do" among a lovely group of family and friends, and one of their cats who was the ring bearer! We are so thankful they chose the Scarborough House and wish them a lifetime of happiness! Photos by Josh and Meika Darville.

Honoring our veterans today and every day! 🇺🇸 Yesterday, we were privileged to host a wedding here at Scarborough House Resort with some incredible military members in attendance. We are deeply grateful for the courage, sacrifice, and dedication of all who have served. Thank you for protecting our freedom and inspiring us with your strength. Wishing all veterans a happy and heartfelt Veterans Day!

We absolutely love fall weddings! We want to thank Erin and Lane, a truly beautiful, special couple, for choosing Scarborough House NC to host their wedding. They said "I DO" on November 2, 2024 surrounded by their family and friends. The couple was radiant, the weather was perfect, the lights twinkled, the cake was gorgeous and it is clear they are in love and loved by everyone who joined them to celebrate!

What an unforgettable day!** We just wrapped up another beautiful wedding here at our venue, and we couldn’t be more grateful to have witnessed such a perfect celebration of love. Congratulations to our amazing bride and groom, and to all the families who came together to make this day so special. The joy, the laughter, the tears of happiness—it’s moments like these that remind us why we love what we do. Owning a wedding venue is truly an incredible experience. Every wedding brings its own unique story, filled with cherished memories that will last a lifetime. From the moment couples tour the property to the final send-off, we get to be a part of their journey, and that’s something we don’t take for granted. Today was a perfect example of how powerful these moments are. The love and energy shared between the couple and their guests created an atmosphere that was absolutely electric.
