I’m now the Executive Director of the Stanwood Camano Arts Advocacy Commission . While we work on building an art center in town (!!!) we’re putting on summer programs, calls for art and events.
It’s all incredible, and I’m thrilled to be a part of so much
goodness around Stanwood.

The Banner Project is a public art collaboration between the Stanwood-Camano Art Advocacy Commission and the City of Stanwood. We're excited to share a little about each of the artists that contributed their work to this project.
14 banners with spring/summer themes featuring the original work of local Stanwood & Camano Island artists have been hung in Stanwood this month. Later this year, they will be swapped out for fall/winter themed banners.

I love Erin’s farm so much. And even more when the field is chock-full of local makers. (Some you might recognize from our Makers Market days.)
I am so excited for tomorrow’s 2nd annual Maypole Market at the farm. I can’t believe it’s been a year since the first - what an incredible spring day that was. Shopping and chatting and meeting friends old and new.

Or put differently…”Where have you been?!”
I’ve taken quite the breather from Insta/FB, and it’s been glorious. I had an opportunity to focus on some bigger projects in my life, and have some news to share. And while I am jump-out-of-my-skin excited about what’s to come, I am also bummed I can’t clone myself and do all the things.
I am closing Cohost. I am sad to be letting it go. I poured so much into this space, and made it everything I possibly could. I got to watch people fumble through the beginnings of workshops and slowly hone a skill to create a piece of art. I got to watch tiny hands melt ice and smoosh play dough at Pop Up Preschool. I got to set up surprise parties and going away celebrations and holiday parties and baby showers. I got to meet hundreds of local makers and display all of their beautiful handiwork and shop all. day. long. It was fun, and really hard, and rewarding, and impossible, and glorious, and purposeful, and enlightening, and I would do it all again.
I want to thank each and every one of you for your support over the past 2+ years. It’s meant the world to me. So many of you are familiar faces around town now. And I won’t always remember your names, but I will never forget that you came in to my little dream and offered a “this is good” that kept me trying again and again.
So thank you. Really. Truly. And I hope to run into you at the grocery store and tell you what’s next.

Just need to add the stamps.
I joined “Just Send The Damn Card” community last month, and was able to attend the monthly Zoom this morning. In an hour of connection, I wrote 5 cards to people I love, and it was so easy and fun to write them and I can’t wait for them to see a handwritten letter in their mailboxes.
Sarah gives great prompts (so you don’t have to think much about what to write), and I loved hearing from other participants.

It’s bittersweet.
The Holiday Makers Market is over, the shop is clearing out, and it’s a snowy wonderland outside.
So I’m going to snuggle up in my comfy Cohost sweatshirt (thank you, Chelsea !) and think up some amazing new things for 2022.
I’ll see you all next year! (In one week, really, but let’s be dramatic together!)

Cohost is a Makers Market from Wed - Fri (11am - 4pm) We curate a range of locally handmade goodies that change every two weeks. We cohost workshops with local instructors and are also offering coworking spots.
