History of Bounce Houses

1959- John Scurlock a mechanical engineer that worked for NASA invented the first inflatable structure an open top mattress with no sides, called a space pillow.
1967- A pressurized inflatable top and walls were added to Scurlock's original creation and the Space Walk inflatable was created. The enclosed structure had an issue with heat.
1968- Frances Scurlock (John Scurlock’s wife) started the first inflatable rental company in New Orleans.
1974- To solve the heat problem from previous designs, inflatable columns were added that supported netted walls which allowed air to pass through and cool things down.
1986- The first inflatable indoor play park called Fun Factory was opened on Thanksgiving Day in Louisiana.
1990- In the early 90’s Scurlock developed the first inflatable water slide called the Aqua Tunnel.
1994- The biggest jumping castle ever made was built in Canada starting in 1994 and finished in 1996.

The boot camp obstacle course.

28 feet of obstacle course followed by a 180 degree turn, and 28 feet more of climber and slide. Truly a 56 feet long inflatable obstacle course. Riders start and finish on the same side, making it a good obstacle course for backyard events.

I would like to send a huge thank you to all those that rented from me this weekend. My schedule at work went crazy and I had to make last minute adjustments to deliveries and pickups. Everyone was super nice and understanding. I’ve had very little sleep and a flat tire lol but it was worth it working with people as wonderful as I had this weekend. Thank you all ❤️❤️❤️
